Օրեր առաջ կյանքին հրաժեշտ տվեց քաղաքական գործիչ, Հայաստանի մարքսիստական կուսակցության ղեկավար Դավիթ Հակոբյանը: Ուշագրավ է, որ իր կյանքի վերջին օրը Դավիթ Հակոբյանը հարցազրույց էր տվել լրատվական կայքերից մեկին և հայտնել էր իր կարծիքը եռյակի հանրահավաքների և գործելաոճի մասին: Լինելով ընդդիմադիր գործիչ՝ Հայաստանի միակ մարքսիստը (ինչպես կատակով նրան անվանում էինք) կողմ էր կիրթ և գրագետ պայքարին՝ քաղաքական լեքսիկոնի, այլ ոչ թե հայհոյանքների կիրառությամբ: Հայհոյանքները, ըստ մարքսիստ Հակոբյանի, ինտիմ շրջանակների համար են, այլ ոչ թե հրապարակախոսական ինստիտուտի համար: Այդ և նման բազմաթիվ պատճառներով Դավիթ Հակոբյանին մենք չէինք տեսնում կանգնած ընդդիմադիր դաշտը զբաղեցրած, բայց իրականում այդ դաշտը արժեզրկողների կողքին, և երևի այդ պատճառով է, որ նրա անունը ամեն օր չէ, որ հայտնվում էր լրատվամիջոցներում և մարդկանց երբեք չէին հոգնեցնում նրա անուղղակի PR-ով, ինչը չեմ կարող ասել մյուս ոչ իշխանական գործիչների մասին:
Դավիթ Հակոբյանը չապրեց շքեղ առանձնատներում, չունեցավ խոշոր բիզնեսներ, չեղավ օլիգարխ-ընդդիմադիր,այլ մինչև մինչև կյանքի վերջն աշխատեց իր մասնագիտությամբ՝ որպես բժիշկ, և որ ամենակարևորն է՝ իր ուղղությունը քաղաքականության մեջ չփոխեց՝ ինչպես մարքսիստ կար, այնպես էլ մարքսիստ մնաց մինչև վերջ:
Այսօրվա իրենց ընդդիմություն համարողներին, կարծում եմ, չի խանգարի մեկ հետադարձ հայացք նետել այս գործչի անցած ուղուն, գուցեև սկզբունքայնության վերաբերյալ ինչ-որ դասեր կքաղեն, քանի որ սկզբունքայնության առումով մեր ընդդիմության մեջ պարզապես սով է տիրում: Ցավոք, Դավիթ Հակոբյանը քաղաքականության մեջ այդպես էլ չհասավ հաջողությունների, չնայած արդարացի կլիներ, եթե մեր ընդդիմադիր հարթակը զբաղեցնեին նման ուրույն և սկզբունքային գործիչներ:
