 Հայաստանի եզդիների միությունը ողջունում է Ազգային ժողովում «Հյուսիսային Իրաքում ԻՊ-ի կողմից եզդիների նկատմամբ իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտելու որոշման նախագիծ»-ը շրջանառության մեջ դնելը: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց Աշխարհի եւ Հայաստանի եզդիների միության նախագահ Ազիզ Թամոյանը:

«Ողջունելի է նման նախագիծը շրջանառության մեջ դնելը: Դա կարևոր քայլ է: Բոլոր փաստերը կան, թե ինչ է տեղի ունեցել, թե Իրաքում եզդիների հանդեպ ինչպիսի անմարդկային վերաբերմունք է դրսևորվել: Դա ցեղասպանություն է, և աշխարհը պետք է դատապարտի այն»,-ասաց Ազիզ Թամոյանը: Նա հույս հայտնեց, որ այլ երկրները նույնպես կհետևեն Հայաստանի օրինակին:

Ազիզ Թամոյանի խոսքով, իհարկե, դրական է նման նախագիծ շրջանառության մեջ դնելը, սակայն ակնկալում են, որ քննարկումներում կընդգրկվեն նաև իրենց մասնագետները, մասնավորապես, իրավաբան Հասան Թամոյանը, ում մոտ հավաքված են բոլոր տվյալները: Ազիզ Թամոյանը նշեց, որ այսօր էլ եզդիների նկատմամբ անմարդկային վերաբերմունքը շարունակվում է: Օրերս ծայրահեղականները 19 եզդի կանանց էին այրել:

Հայաստանի խորհրդարանն առաջիկայում կքննարկի Հյուսիսային Իրաքում «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման կողմից եզդիների նկատմամբ իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտելու հարցը: Համապատասխան օրենսդրական նախաձեռնությունը խորհրդարանում շրջանառության մեջ է դրել ԲՀԿ առաջնորդ, ԱԺ ԲՀԿ խմբակցության ղեկավար Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը: «Բացի «Բարգավաճ Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավորներից, հայտարարության նախագծին միացել է նաև «Ժառանգություն» խմբակցությունից Թևան Պողոսյանը:
