Ամբողջ աշխարհում 2004 թվականից հունիսի 14-ը նշվում է որպես արյան դոնորի միջազգային օր, որի կապակցությամբ ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարության Յոլյանի անվան արյունաբանական կենտրոնը կազմակերպել է «Արյունը միավորում է բոլորիս» կարգախոսով միջոցառում՝ նպատակ հետապնդելով ընդգծելու եւ ցույց տալու կամավոր արյան դոնորության կարեւորությունը:

Արյունաբանական կենտրոնի տնօրեն Սմբատ Դաղբաշյանը կոչ է անում ոչ միայն դժվարին օրերին, այլեւ մշտապես լինել արյան դոնոր: «Երբ կարիքը կա, մեր հասարակությունը գալիս է արյան բանկ եւ հանձնում է արյունը, մենք մեծ թվով դոնորներ ունեցանք ապրիլյան պատերազմի ժամանակ, սակայն երբ այն ավարտվեց, դոնորների հոսքը արյունաբանական կենտրոն պակասեց: Այսօր շատ հիվանդ մարդիկ կան, ովքեր ունեն արյան բաղադրամասերի կարիքը, նրանք բուժվում են տարբեր հիվանդանոցներում, նրանց ամեն օր անհրաժեշտ են արյան թարմ բաղադրամասեր, եւ մեր հայրենակիցները, ովքեր մեծ ակտիվություն են ցուցաբերում այդ նեղ օրերի ընթացքում, պետք է մշտապես դոնորագրվեն եւ հանձնեն արյան բաղադրամասերը: Հանձնել արյուն նշանակում է նվիրաբերել կյանքի մի մասնիկ: Դա մի ոգեղեն զգացողություն է, որը հնարավորություն է տալիս  հիվանդին բուժվելու, ինչպես նաեւ ուժ ընտանիքի անդամներին եւ բժշկին»,-լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց կենտրոնի տնօրենը:

Միջոցառման շրջանակում ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարության նախաձեռնությամբ մի խումբ բուժաշխատողներ, կամավոր դոնորներ, ինչպես նաեւ Հայաստանում արյան կամավոր դոնորությանն աջակցող կազմակերպություններ՝ ինչպիսիք են Ucom ընկերությունը, «Ռադիո Վան» ռադիոընկերությունը, Հայաստանի երիտասարդական հիմնադրամը պարգեւատրվեցին հուշամեդալներով, իսկ  Յոլյանի անվան հուշամեդալներ շնորհվեցին  Շիրակի մարզի արյան փոխներարկման կայանի տնօրեն Արմենուհի Չախալյանին, ինչպես նաեւ Պաշտպանության նախարարության կենտրոնական կլինիկական զինվորական հոս պիտալի արյան պաշարման և փոխներարկման բաժանմունքի պետ, մայոր Մարգարիտա Հակոբյանին:
