«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Հայաստանում Ռուսաստանի դեսպան Իվան Վոլինկինը հայտարարել է, որ աշխատանքներ տարվում են աբխազական երկաթուղու գործարկման ուղղությամբ, և Հայաստանի համար այդ կարևոր գիծը կարող է վերաբացվել: Իվան Վոլինկինի այդ հայտարարությունը հնչում է Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի հանդիպումից հետո, կամ այսպես ասած Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ Սերժ Սարգսյանի այցից հետո, որտեղ բացի Սարգսյան-Ալիև հանդիպումից, եղավ նաև Սարգսյան-Պուտին հանդիպում: Եվ այդ երկու հանդիպումներից հետո աբխազական երկաթուղու մասին Ռուսաստանի դեսպանի հայտարարությունը շատ ուշագրավ է:

Այնպիսի տպավորություն է, որ Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի ֆոնին Ռուսաստանը փորձում է աբխազական երկաթուղու կոնֆետը դնել Հայաստանի բերանը: Ընդհանրապես, այդ «կոնֆետը» ռուսական կողմը պարբերաբար հանում է գրպանից: Այն բազմակի օգտագործման, բայց բուտաֆորիկ մի բան է, որը հեռվից ցույց են տալիս Հայաստանին, երբ խնդիրներ են ունենում՝ կա՛մ քաղաքական հարաբերությունների, կա՛մ դրանց հասարակական ընկալումների իմաստով: Իսկ Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի հանդիպումները՝ Պուտինի հովանիով Սարգսյան-Ալիև և նաև Սարգսյան-Պուտին, ըստ էության արտացոլեցին Հայաստանի համար խնդիրներ, ընդ որում՝ տարբեր բնույթի, և՛ անվտանգային, և՛ տնտեսական:

Հարցն այն է միայն, թե տվյալ պարագայում ինչի համար է Ռուսաստանը գրպանից հերթական անգամ հանում բուտաֆորիկ կոնֆետը և ինչ-որ հայտարարություններ անում աբխազական երկաթուղու բացման հեռանկարների մասին, որոնք իրականում գոյություն ունեն ոչ ավելի, քան, օրինակ, հայ-թուրքական սահմանի բացման հեռանկարները: Ինչպես հայտնի է, հայ-թուրքական սահմանի բացումը ուղղակիորեն կապակցվում է ղարաբաղյան խնդրի հետ: Ընդ որում՝ այնքան, որ դա այլևս օգտագործելի հանգամանք չէ, շատ մաշված է:

Ըստ էության, արդյո՞ք այս անգամ արդեն փորձ չի արվում խաղի մեջ ներքաշել նոր՝ աբխազական երկաթուղու հանգամանքը: Արդյո՞ք Մոսկվան այդ բուտաֆորիկ կոնֆետը գրպանից չի հանում ղարաբաղյան հարցում ռուսական նախաձեռնողականության ակտիվացման շրջանակում Հայաստանից ինչ-որ բան կորզելու համար: Առավել ևս, որ նմանօրինակ որոշակի ակնարկներ կային Սարգսյան-Ալիև հանդիպմանը նախորդած Սարգսյան-Պուտին հանդիպմանը, երբ Պուտինը փորձում էր Հայաստանի ԵՏՄ-ից ստացած տնտեսական օգուտները մատնանշել, իսկ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նրան, փաստորեն, հայտարարեց, թե դրա համար չի եկել Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ:
Այստեղ նշմարվում էին ոչ միայն Ռուսաստանին, ըստ էության, երեսպաշտության փոխարեն դաշնակցային պարտավորությունները հիշեցնելու Սարգսյանի ջանքերը, այլ նաև հենց այդ տնտեսական ցուցանիշների հանդեպ Սարգսյանի թերահավատությունը կամ բացասական վերաբերմունքը:

Ահա այս պայմաններում Ռուսաստանը գրպանից հանում է կոնֆետը՝ բուտաֆորիկ, ինչը նշանակում է, որ Մոսկվան Հայաստանին թե՛ անվտանգության, թե՛ տնտեսության ասպարեզում առաջարկելու ոչինչ չունի: Սա, իհարկե, նոր իրողություն չէ, և այստեղ, անշուշտ, ոչ սովորական է այն, որ Հայաստանը, փաստորեն, իհարկե դիվանագիտական հռետորաբանության սահմաններում, բայց Ռուսաստանի հետ բարձր մակարդակի հանդիպմանը արձանագրում է այդ փաստը:

Բայց կասկած չկա իհարկե, որ դա բավական չէ, քանի որ տվյալ պարագայում խնդիրը արդեն ռուսական բուտաֆորիկ կոնֆետները չեն, կամ դրանք խնդիր են այն պարագայում, եթե բուտաֆորիկ է մնում Հայաստանի պետական քաղաքականությունը, որն անկարող է քայլեր ձեռնարկել «դաշնակցային» բուտաֆորիաների փոխարեն իրական այլընտրանքներ փնտրելու հարցում»:
