«Եվրո 2016»-ի 1/8 եզրափակիչ Գերմանիա-Սլովակիա հանդիպումն ավարտվել է:  Գերմանիայի ընտրանին հաղթել է խոշոր` 3-0 հաշվով և դուրս եկել քառորդ եզրափակիչ:

Գերմանիա-Սլովակիա հանդիպման 1-ին խաղակեսը եկավ ասելու, թե իրականում ինչպիսի գերհզոր կարողություններ ունի Գերմանիայի ընտրանին: Բունդեսթիմը ամենահզոր գերմանական մեքենային վայել սկսեց հանդիպումը: Արդեն 7-րդ րոպեին Սամի Խեդիրայի գլխի հարվածը աննշան շեղ ընթացավ դարպասաձողի վրայով: Ժամացույցը չէր կատարել հերթական պտույտը, և Գերմանիան հասավ հաջողության: Գնդակը հարմար բարձրության վրա եկավ Ժերոմ Բոատենգի մոտ, նույն կերպ հարմար «նստեց» գերմանացի պաշտպանի ոտքին, ու նրա հեռահար հարվածը ստիպեց Մատուշ Կոզաչեկին գնդակը հանել դարպասից: Անցավ ևս 5 րոպե և Գերմանիան ստացավ 11 մետրանոց հարվածի իրավունք: Մարտին Շկրտելը խախտեց խաղի կանոնները Մարիո Գոմեսի նկատմամբ: Գնդակին մոտեցավ  Մեսութ Օզիլը և վրիպեց: Մատուշ Կոզաչեկը հիանալի ցատկով հեռացրեց գնդակը: Գերմանիան շարունակեց ավելացնել իր «շարժիչի» թափը և 23-րդ րոպեին Օզիլը կրկին հնարավորություն ստացավ ու չօգտագործեց: Գերմանիայի հավաքականի հաջորդ իրական հնարավորությունը Յուլիան Դրաքսլերինն էր: Հարձակվողի հարվածը շեղ ընթացավ: Սլովակիան իր միակ հնարավորությունը ստացավ 41-րդ րոպեին: Պետեր Պեկարիկը գնդակն ուղարկեց տուգան ային հրապարակ, Կուցկան հարվածեց, իսկ դարպասապահ Նոյերը ֆանտաստիկ ցատկով հեռացրեց գնդակը: Սլովակիան իր շանսը բաց թողեց, իսկ ահա Գերմանիան առաջին կեսի ավարտին`43-րդ րոպեին, կրկնապատկեց հաշիվը: Դրաքսլերի փոխանցումից հետո գոլի հեղինակ դարձավ Մարիո Գոմեսը: 1-ին կեսը այդպես էլ ավարտվեց` 2-0 հօգուտ Գերմանաիայի:

2-րդ կեսում խաղադաշտում ոչինչ  չփոխվեց: Ֆուտբոլ խաղում էին միայն գերմանացիները: Հանդարտ մեկնարկից հետո Գերմանիան 63-րդ րոպեին ստացավ անկյունային հարվածի իրավունք: Գնդակը եկավ տուգանային հարապարակ, որտեղ 2-րդ հարկում հաղթեց Հումելսը: Գնդակը հասավ Յուլիան Դրաքսլերին, որը գեղեցիկ հարվածով հաշվի տարբերությունը հասցրեց 3-ի: Գերմանիայի հավաքականը պարզապես անկասելի էր: Գերմանիան բավարարվեց ունեցածով և չցանկացավ ավելի մեծացնել առավելությանը: Բունդեսթիմը ցույց տվեց այն խաղը, որն սպասում էին ֆուտբոլասե
