1. Մարդուն այնպես ընտրեք, ասես կույր եք

Փակեք աչքերը եւ զգացեք, թե ինչ կմտածեք այդ մարդու մասին: Նրա բարության, հավատարմության, խորաթափանցության, նվիրվածության, ձեզ հոգ տանելու նրա կարողության եւ իրեն, որպես անկախ արարածի, հոգ տանելու կարողության: Չնայած մեր մշակույթի առանձնահատկություններն ազդում են շատ բանի վրա, եւ այն, ինչ մենք տեսնում ենք արտաքին աչքով, շատ կարեւոր է, անհամեմատ ավելի կարեւոր է այն, ինչ մենք տեսնում եւ ընկալում ենք մեր ներքին հայացքով, երբ մեր աչքերը փակ են: 

2. Մի գլխավոր տարբերություն կա այն մարդու միջեւ, որն ի վիճակի է երկարատեւ հարաբերությունների զուգընկեր դառնալ եւ նրա, ով ի վիճակի է զուգընկեր լինել միայն կարճ ժամանակով

Եվ այդ տարբերակիչ նշանը սովորելու կարողությունն է: Իսպանական արտահայտություն կա այն մասին, որ  «նա, ով ի վիճակի չէ սովորելու, ամենաանհանդուրժողն է»: Նա, ով ի վիճակի չէ իրերին նայելո նոր հայացքով, ով հետաքրքրասեր չէ աշխարհի եւ նրա կառուցվածքի հանդեպ, այն բանի, թե ինչպես են կառուցված մարդիկ, շատ հաճախ փակվում է եւ ասում. «ոչ, ամեն ինչ կարող է լինել միայն այսպես կամ այնպես»: Երկարատեւ հարաբերությունների համար ամենից ավելի լավ է ընտրել նրան, ով ի վիճակի է բաց լինել:  Ոչ միշտ, իհարկե: Բայց նրա հետ, ով կարող է բացվել եւ փակվել,  դարձյալ բացվել եւ փակվել, աստիճանաբար սովորելով եւ զարգանալով:

Երբեմն կնոջը հատուկ հատկանիշներ են ուժը եւ փխրունությունը: Ուժը, որին ծառն է տիրապետում: Ուժեղ քամին կարող է հարվածել նրան, բայց իր ճկունության շնորհիվ այն կշարժվի քամու հետ միասին:   Եթե չճկվի, կկոտրվի: Զգայունություն ասելով նկատի ունեն ողջ լինելու եւ շրջապատում տեղի ունեցողն ընկալելու կարողությունը: Որոշ մարդկանց անհրաժեշտ է մի քիչ օգնել այդ առումով:  Բայց ամենից հաճախ մտքում կամ նույնիսկ հոգու խորքում մարդիկ այդպիսին են` արթնացած եւ ողջ, ուղղակի դժվարանում են արտահայտել դա: Այդ պատճառով դարձյալ այդքան կարեւոր է երկրորդ կետը` սովորելու կարողությունը:  Կարելի է հսկայական ներուժ ունենալ բարի, սիրող եւ հավատարիմ եւ ընդհանրապես մարդկությանը երբեւէ հայտնի եղած լավագույն սիրեկանը լինելու համար, բայց եթե չսովորես եւ չզարգացնես այդ ներուժը, ոչինչ չի լինի:
