«Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման զինյալները վերջին ամիսների ընթացքում կորցրել են Սիրիայում եւ Իրաքում նվաճած տարածքների մեկ քառորդը, որը հավասար է Իռլանդիայի ամբողջ տարածքին: Ըստ ՌԻԱ Նովոստիի, այս մասին ասված է ամերիկյան IHS ընկերության վերլուծաբանների զեկույցում:

«ԻՊ-ի տարածքների կրճատման հետ միասին ավելի ու ավելի վառ է արտահայտվում, որ նրանց կառավարման նախագծերը ձախողվում են, խմբավորումը կրկին ուշադրությունը կենտրոնացնում է ապստամբական գործողությունների ուղղությամբ»,- կարծում է IHS-ի հակամարտության մոնիթորինգի բաժնի գլխավոր վերլուծաբան Կոլումբոս Սթրեքը:

Նրա խոսքով, սպասվում է ահաբեկչությունների թվի ավելացում՝ մեծաթիվ զոհերով, ինչպես նաեւ հարձակումներ տնտեսական ենթակառուցվածքների դեմ Իրաքում եւ նրա սահմաններից դուրս, այդ թվում՝ Եվրոպայում:

Անցյալ տարվա վերջին ԻՊ-ն կորցրեց խոշոր Ռամադի քաղաքը, իսկ այս տարվա մայիսի վերջին իրաքյան բանակը գրավեց Ֆալուջա քաղաքը, որն ԻՊ-ի զինյալների գլխավոր հենակետն էր Բաղդադից դեպի արեւմուտք: Հիմա իրաքյան ուժերը պատրաստվում են գրավել Մոսուլը. խոշոր քաղաք Իրաքի հյուսիսում, որը դե ֆակտո այդ երկրում ԻՊ-ի մայրաքաղաքն է:

Սիրիայում նույնպես ԻՊ-ն հսկայական տարածքներ է կորցրել նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի զորքերի հարվածների ներքո՝ ռուսական օդատիեզերական ուժերի աջակցությամբ: Սիրիայում առանցքային կորուստների թվում են Շադդադի եւ Պալմիրա քաղաքները:

2011 թվականի մարտից Սիրիայում շարունակվող զինված հակամարտության արդյունքում, ՄԱԿ-ի տվյալներով, ավելի քան 280 հազար մարդ է զոհվել: Սիրիական կառավարական զորքերը դիմակայում են տարբեր ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների, որոնցից ամենաակտիվն «Իսլամական պետություն»-ն ու «Ջեբհաթ ան-Նուսրա»-ն են:
