 Հայաստան և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ կատարած այցերից հետո Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի խորհրդի համանախագահներ Էնթոնի Բարսամյանը և Վան Գրիգորյանը Վաշինգտոնում հանդիպումներ են ունեցել ԱՄՆ Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդում և պետդեպարտամենտում: Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ԱՀՀ մամուլի բաժնից, Բարսամյանն ու Գրիգորյանն իրենց հանդիպումներում բարձրացրել են Ադրբեջանի շարունակական ռազմատենչ քաղաքականության խնդիրը:

Անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև Ադրբեջանի կողմից խաղաղ քաղաքացիական բնակչության դեմ կիրառած ռազմական ուժին և շեշտվել է, որ առանց նման քաղաքականության դադարեցման հնարավոր չի լինի ապահովել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խնդրի տևական կարգավորում:

«Չնայած անհավատալի մարտահրավերների՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովուրդը շարունակում է բարգավաճել և ամուր լինել: Նրանք արժանի են մեր աջակցությանը և հակամարտության ցանկացած կարգավորում պետք է ներառի իրենց ևս, քանի որ հենց իրենք են, որ ուղղակիորեն սպառնալիքի տակ են և իրենք էլ կրելու են ցանկացած լուծման հետևանքները»,- նշել են ԱՀՀ խորհրդի համանախագահները:

Հանդիպումներում անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև թուրքական իշխանությունների կողմից Դիարբեքիրում հայկական եկեղեցու բռնազավթման հարցին, ինչպես նաև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին տրամադրվող ամերիկյան աջակցության հնարավոր աճին՝ կապված հետպատերազմական վերկանգնման աշխատանքների հետ:
