Սաուդյան Արաբիան կայուն նվազեցնում է նավթի պաշարները աճող ներքին պահանջարկի ֆոնին, փորձելով այդ ձեւով պահպանել արտահանման մակարդակը: Այս մասին հայտնում է The Wall Street Journal ամսագիրը՝ վկայակոչելով Joint Organisations Data Initiative կազմակերպության տվյալները (JODI-ն Էր Ռիյադում տեղակայված՝ նավթի շուկայի հարցերով հետազոտական խումբ ), հայտնում էLenta–ն:

JODI-ի տվյալներով 2016 թ. մայիսին Սաուդյան Արաբիայում նավթի պաշարները նվազել են՝ հասնելով 2014-ի օգոստոսի նվազագույն մակարդակին: Հոկտեմբերից պաշարները նվազել են 12 տոկոսով, հասնելով 289 մլն բարելի, ինչը վերջին 15 տարվա մեջ ամենաերկարատեւ անկումն է եղել:

Թագավորությունը փորձում է պահպանել փխրուն հավասարակշռությունը շուկայի համար բարդ այս ժամանակներում, համարում են վերլուծաբանները: Ընդ որում Սաուդյան Արաբիան ձգտում է աջակցել արտահանմանը՝ մրցակիցների՝ Իրանի, Ռուսաստանի ու ԱՄՆ-ի դեմ պայքարելու համար:

 JODI-ի տվյալներով՝ Էր Ռիյադը մայիսին հինգ տոկոսով ավելացրել է համաշխարհային շուկա մատակարարումները՝ հասցնելով օրական 7.3 մլն բարելի: «Եթե Սաուդյան Արաբիան չծախսի իր պաշարները, ապա նա ստիպված կլինի կրճատել արտահանումը, այն դեպքում երբ Իրանը մեծացնում է իր արտասահմանյան մատակարարումները»,- ասել է Օլիվեր Յակովը, Petromatrix-ի վերլուծաբանը:

Հուլիսի 20-ին ժամը 10:40-ին Brent տեսակի նավթը լոնդոնյան ICE բորսայում վաճառվում էր բարելի դիմաց մոտ 46.63 դոլարով: Նախորդ սեսիայի փակման համեմատ այն էժանացել է 0.06 տոկոսով:
