Բելգիայում Թուրքիայի դեսպանը պաշտոնապես ներողություն է խնդրել բելգիական Ֆլանդրիայի կառավարության ղեկավար Գերթ Բուրժուայից: Պատճառն ավելի վաղ թուրքական դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչության անդամներից մեկի հայտարարություններն էին այն մասին, թե ֆլամանդական կազմակերպություններն աջակցում են չափավոր իսլամական գաղա փարախոսության քարոզիչ Ֆեթուլլահ Գյուլենին, ում պաշտոնական Անկարան մեղադրում է ռազմական ձախողված հեղաշրջման փորձը նախաձեռնելու մեջ: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին տեղեկացնում է բելգիական Belga գործակալությունը:
