Ձմերուկը տարբերվում է «սեռային» նշաններով. «Տղաները» մեծ են և երկարավուն: «Աղջիկները» ավելի փոքր են և ավելի կլոր: «Աղջիկները» ավելի համեղ են և քաղցր:

Պոչը

Այն անպայման պետք է լինի: Դեղնավուն չոր պոչը հասունության նշան է, իսկ եթե պոչը կանաչ է, ձմերուկը քաղել են անհաս վիճակում:

Կտկտոցով

Հասուն ձմերուկն արձակում է բարձր ձայն: Իսկ եթե այն վերևից և ներքևից թեթև սեղմեն, ապա կճաքի:

Կտրելով
