Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ նախագահի թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփը «սարսափելիորեն անպատրաստ է» պետության ղեկավարի պարտականությունների կատարմանը: Այս մասին հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման՝ ելույթ ունենալով Սպիտակ տանը տեղի ունեցած մամուլի ասուլիսին, փոխանցում է Reuters-ը:

«Կգա պահը, երբ դուք կասեք՝ բավական է»,- ասել է Օբաման՝ դիմելով հանրապետականների առաջնորդին, որոնք, նրա խոսքով, բազմիցս քննադատել են Թրամփի հայտարարությունները, սակայն շարունակում են պաշտպանել նրա թեկնածությունը:

ԱՄՆ առաջնորդի հայտարարությունը Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության համագումարում տեղի ունեցած միջադեպի արձագանքն է: Այնտեղ ելույթ է ունեցել Իրաքում զոհված մուսուլման զինվորի հայրը, որը հայտարարել է, որ իր որդին եթե նույնիսկ ողջ էլ մնար, չէր վերադառնա Ամերիկա, եթե Թրամփի առաջարկը մուսուլմանների մուտքի արգելքի մասին իրականացվեր: Տղամարդու ելույթի պահին նրա կողքին է եղել կինը՝ զոհված զինվորի մայրը:

Ի պատասխան՝ Թրամփը ենթադրել է, որ կինը լռել է, քանի որ նրան «թույլ չեն տվել» խոսել, փոխանցում է Բի-Բի-Սի-ն: Թրամփի հայտարարությունը հարուցել ոչ միայն դեմոկրատների, այլ նաեւ իր կուսակիցների խիստ քննադատությունը: Մասնավորապես այն մասին, որ չեն քվեարկի Թրամփի օգտին, չնայած Հանրապետական կուսակցության անդամ լինելուն, հայտարարել են Իլինոյսի, Նեբրասկայի, Հարավային Կարոլինայի եւ այլ նահանգների սենատորներ:
