Հայաստանի բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Արթուր Գեւորգյանը նշել է, որ Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյում անցկացվող Օլիմպիական խաղերում հայ բռնցքամարտիկներին բաժին են հասել բարդ մրցակիցներ:

«Բրազիլիայի Ռիո դե Ժանեյրո քաղաքում արդեն տեղի է ունեցել Օլիմպիական խաղերի բռնցքամարտի մրցաշարի վիճակահանությունը: Ստացվել է այնպես, որ մեր գրեթե բոլոր բռնցքամարտիկները նվազագույնը բրոնզե մեդալի համար պայքարում պետք է հաղթեն Եվրոպայի, աշխարհի եւ օլիմպիական չեմպիոններին: Ամենից հաջող վիճակահանությունը Նարեկ Աբգարյանի մոտ է, սակայն պետք չէ հույս դնել վիճակահանության վրա, քանի որ մեր տղաներից յուրաքանչյուրը կարող է վերադառնալ մրցանակային տեղով։ Մեր տղաները այժմ շատ լավ մարզավիճակում են եւ շարունակում են ինտենսիվ մարզվել։ Այժմ ամեն ինչ կախված է լինելու հենց իրենցից։ Բոլորն էլ փորձառու են եւ ամեն ինչ պետք է անեն մեդալ նվաճելու համար։ Հաջողություն եմ մաղթում մեր հավաքականին, հուսով եմ՝  կարդարացնեն բոլորիս սպասելիքները»,- ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է Գեւորգյանը:
