Իրանի իշխանությունները միջուկային ֆիզիկոս Շահրամ Ամիրիին մեղադրել են ԱՄՆ-ի օգտին լրտեսության եւ պետական դավաճանության մեջ: Երկրի դատական իշխանության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչների տեղեկացմամբ՝ նրան նախ 10 տարի ժամկետով ազատազրկման են դատապարտել, սակայն նա չի մեղանչել եւ բանտից տեղեկություններ փոխանցելու փորձեր է արել: Այս մասին հաղորդում է Էխո Մոսկվին:

1977 թվականին ծնված Շահրամ Ամիրին անհետ կորել էր 2009 թվականին, Մեքքա այցի ընթացքում: Մեկ տարի անց հայտնի է դարձել, որ նա ԱՄՆ-ում է: Ամիրիի խոսքով՝ ԿՀՎ աշխատակիցներն իրեն մի քանի անգամ հարցաքննել են՝ Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի մասին տեղեկություններ ստանալու համար, ինտենսիվ հոգեբանական ճնշումների ենթարկել, թմրանյութեր ներարկել: Ամիրին հայրենիք էվերադարձել 2010 թվականին: Նրա խոսքով՝ իրեն հաջողվել է փախչել ամերիկյան հատուկ ծառայություններից: Իրանում նրան նախ որպես հերոսի են ընդունել, բայց 2011 թվականին ձերբակալել են ֆիզիկոսին եւ, որոշ տվյալներով, երկարամյա ազատազրկման դատապարտել:
