ԱԺ պատգամավոր Արագած Ախոյանի դիտարկմամբ Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանն աստիճանաբար ապակայունանում է: Նրա խոսքով՝ ժամանակն է, որ տարածաշրջանի երկրներն ինքնուրույն զբաղվեն առկա խնդիրների լուծմամբ:

«Ես էլի եմ առաջարկել, որ արժե կազմակերպել կլոր սեղան տարածաշրջանի երկրների՝ Իրանի, Վրաստանի, Հայաստանի, Թուրքիայի եւ, ինչու չէ՞ Ադրբեջանի փորձագետների մասնակցությամբ, քանի որ այլեւս պետք  չէ թողնել տարածաշրջանում առկա խնդիրների լուծումը գերտերություններին: Դրանք մեր խնդիրներ են, մենք էլ ունենք հնարավորություններ: Ես կարծում եմ՝ տարածաշրջանի բոլոր երկրներին սպասվում են բավականին մեծ մարտահրավերներ, եւ պետք է մտածել, թե ինչպես պայքարել դրանց դեմ»,- լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց պատգամավորը:

Անդրադառնալով Ռուսաստանի դերակատարությանը՝ նա շեշտեց, որ Ռուսաստանը փորձում է պահպանել հարաբերություններ տարածաշրջանի բոլոր պետությունների հետ:

«Որպես տարածաշրջանում մեծ դեր ունեցող երկիր է, նա պետք է պահպանի բոլոր երկրների հետ ունեցած հարաբերությունները, որպեսզի ոչ մեկին չնեղացնի:  Ռուսաստանը շատ լավ գիտակցում է, որ Հայաստանը հուսալի գործընկեր է Անդրկովկասում, սակայն երբեմն լինում են անընդունելի եւ անհասկանալի քայլեր, ինչպես օրինակ Թուրքիայի հետ հարաբերությունների բնույթը՝ վեց ամիս առաջ՝ լարված հարաբերություններ, իսկ վերջերս հանկարծ նրանք նորից դարձան եղբայրներ: Սա ինձ համար անընդունելի է»,- ասաց նա:

Խոսելով Թուրքիայում հուլիսի 15-ի ձախողված հեղաշրջման փորձի մասին՝ նա կրկնեց, որ այնտեղ դեռեւս ամեն ինչ նոր է սկսվում:

«Իրավիճակը Թուրքիայում շատ ծանր է, եւ ոչ ոք թող չկարծի, որ ամեն ինչ ավարտվել է: Թեպետ փորձն անհաջող էր, սակայն խնդիրները դեռ մնում են»,- եզրափակեց պատգամավորը:
