Ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունների մերձեցումը որևէ կերպ չի կարող բացասական ազդեցություն ունենալ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման գործընթացի և հայ-ռուսական հարաբերությունների վրա:

Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ՝ օգոստոսի 22-ին հրավիրված ասուլիսում նման տեսակետ հայտնեց ԱԺ պատգամավոր, ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի անդամ Շիրակ Թորոսյանը:
«Որոշ փորձագետներ կարծում են, որ ռուս-թուրքական մերձեցումը կարող է բացասաբար անդրադառնալ ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի և հայ-ռուսական հարաբերությունների վրա: Նրանք համեմատություն են անում 1918-20 թվակականներ հետ, երբ քեմալաբոլշևիկյան մերձեցման հետևանքով Հայաստանը մեծ տարածքային կորուստներ ունեցավ: Այսօր իրավիճակն այլ է, քանզի Հայաստանը Ռուս աստանի համար շատ կարևոր ռամավարական նշանակություն ունեցող երկիր է: Բացի դրանից, Հայաստանը ներկայումս ունի կազմակերպված և ուժեղ բանակ ու արդյունավետ արտաքին քաղաքականություն»,- նշեց  Թորոսյանը:
ԱԺ պատգամավորը նշեց, որ պատմության ընթացքում բազմիցս են եղել ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունների նմանատիպ մերձեցումներ, որոնք կարճատև են եղել:
«Ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունների ջերմացումը իրավիճակային խնդրի լուծում է ապահովում: Թուրքիան, գտնվելով ծանր իրավիճակում, մի պահ երես է թեքում Արևմուտքից և ջերմ հարաբերություններ է հաստատում Ռուսաստանի հետ: Որոշակի խնդիրներ լուծելուց հետո, նորից հայացքը հառում է դեպի Արևմուտք: Վստահ եմ, որ Կրեմլը շատ լավ հասկանում է այս ամենը և բնականաբար կարճատև խնդիրների լուծման դեպքում որևե կերպ հայկական կողմի շահերը չեն ոտնհարվելու»,- եզրափակեց Թորոսյանը:
