Վրաստանի վարչապետ Գեորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլին ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ենս Ստոլտենբերգի հետ քննարկել Է դաշինքի հետ հարաբերությունների խորացման հեռանկարները:

Այդ մասին սեպտեմբերի 7-ին հայտնել Է հանրապետության կառավարության մամուլի ծառայությու նը: 

«Վրաստանի վարչապետ Գեորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլիի եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ենս Ստոլտենբերգի հանդիպման գլխավոր թեմաներն են դարձել Վրաստանում իրականացվող ժողովրդավարական բարեփոխումները, խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին նախապատրաստվելը եւ ՆԱՏՕ-Վրաստան հարաբերությունների խորացման հեռանկարները»,-ասված Է հաղորդագրության մեջ:

Հանդիպմանը Կվիրիկաշվիլին նշել Է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի այցը Թբիլիսի վկայում Է դաշինքի կողմից երկրի աջակցության մասին: Իր հերթին Ստոլտենբերգն ընդգծել Է, որ Վրաստանը զգալի դեր Է խաղում միջազգային անվտանգության ապահովման գործում: 

Մամուլի ծառայության տվյալներով՝ հանդիպմանը նաեւ ներկա են եղել ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի տեղակալ Ալեքսանդր Վերշբոուն եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի՝ Հարավային Կովկասի եւ Կենտրոնական Ասիայի երկրների հարցերով հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ջեյմս Ապատուրայը: Վրացական կողմը ներկայացրել են պաշտպանության նախարարության, ԱԳ եւ ՆԳ նախարարությունների, արդարադատության նախարարության ղեկավարները, ինչպես նաեւ եվրոպական եւ եվրատլանյան ինտեգրացման հարցերի նախարարը: 

Սեպտեմբերի 8-ին Ստոլտենբերգը բանակցություններ կանցկացնի Վրաստանի նախագահ Գեորգի Մարգվելաշվիլիի, պաշտպանության նախարար Լեւան Իզորիայի եւ խորհրդարանի նախագահ Դավիթ Ուսուպաշվիլիի հետ:

ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը նաեւ Թբիլիսիում խորհրդարանի շենքում ելույթ կունենա ուսանողների առջեւ եւ կպատասխանի նրանց հարցերին:  Սա Ստոլտենբերգի՝ որպես ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի, թվով երկրորդ այցն Է Վրաստան. վերջին անգամ նա այս երկիր Է այցելել 2015 թվականի օգոստոսին: Հյուսիսատլանտյան խորհրդի նստաշրջանը Վրաստանում անցկացնելու որոշումն ընդունվել Էր դաշինքի Վարշավայի գագաթնաժողովում: Բացի գլխավոր քարտուղարից, պատվիրակության կազմում են ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ երկրների դեսպանները, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
