Ամեն ինչ ստացվում է, երբ Քոչար ազգանունս ես կրում. բացվեց «Մայրություն» արձանը

«Մարդու պտղաբերության կենտրոնի» հարակից տարածքում մեծ հանդիսությամբ բացվեց հայ քանդակագործության հանճար Երվանդ Քոչարի` 1927 թվականին Փարիզում ստեղծված էսքիզով քանդակված արձանը: «Մայրություն» վերանվանմամբ քանդակի ստեղծման գաղափարը  կենտրոնի հիմնադիր տնօրեն, բժշկական գիտությունների դոկտոր Էդուարդ Համբարձումյանինն է, իսկ քանդակի հեղինակը Երվանդ Քոչարի որդին է` Ռուբեն Քոչարը:

Էդուարդ Համբարձումյանը մեծ ոգեւորությամբ է խոսում արձանի մասին` ընդգծելով, թե ինչքան կարեւոր է ունենալ նմանատիպ արձան հենց կենտրոնի բակում:

«Նշանակալի իրադարձություն է մեզ համար, քանի որ Երվանդ Քոչարի` գրեթե 100 տարի առաջ ստեղծված էսքիզի հիման վրա Ռուբեն Քոչարը քանդակել է այս արձանը: Երբ ինձ բախտ վիճակվեց տեսնել այդ էսքիզը, մենք որոշեցինք, որ անպայման պետք է այն կյանքի կոչել. մի ստեղծագործություն, որ միայն Երվանդ Քոչարինը կարող էր լինել: Սա արտակարգ հետաքրքիր գործ է, եւ ես երջանիկ եմ, որ մենք կարողացանք հասնել մեր նպատակին»,- Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ` լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց կենտրոնի տնօրենը:  

Սա Ռուբեն Քոչարի առաջին քանդակն է, որը, նրա խոսքով, ստիպեց եւս մեկ անգամ խոսել հոր մասին: «Ես երբեք որեւէ արձան չեմ քանդակել: Ես Էդուարդ Համբարձումյանին ասացի, որ ինձ համար սա նորություն է, կարող է չստացվի, իսկ նա ի պատասխան. «Ինչպե՞ս կարող է չստացվել, եթե դու Քոչար ազգանունն ես կրում»: Ինձ համար շատ հաճելի է, որ գաղափարը կյանքի կոչվեց, նախ որովհետեւ ես ինձ փորձեցի քանդակագործության ոլորտում, սկսեցի հավատալ ինքս ինձ, եւ իհարկե, որ ես կարողացա հորս  արած ինչ-որ բան վերածնել: «Մայրություն» անվանումը հայրս չի ընտրել, սակայն շատ համապատասխանում է քանդակին, քանի որ նրան նայելիս դա ենք պատկերացնում: Կարծում եմ` արձանը էլ ավելի կգեղեցկանա այս կենտրոնի հարեւանությամբ»,-ասաց Ռուբեն Քոչարը` տեղեկացնելով, որ աշխատանքները տեւել են 4 ամիս:
