Վիրահայոց թեմը մասնակցել է Վրաստան Հռոմի պապի այցի շրջանակում կազմակերպված միջոցառումներին։ Մասնավորապես, թեմակալ առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Վազգեն եպիսկոպոսը Միրզախանյանը, հրավիրված լինելով հյուրընկալության առիթով կազմակերպված միջոցառումներին, ներկա է գտնվեց Վրաստանի նախագահի նստավայրում Սրբազան քահանայապետի հետ երկրի նախագահի, օրենսդիր և գործադիր մարմինների ղեկավարների հանդիպմանը: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու Վիրահայոց թեմից, որի հաղորդագրության մեջ նշված է. «Վրաստանի նախագահ Գիորգի Մարգվելաշվիլիի և Համայն Վրաստանի կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարք Իլիա Երկրորդի հրավերով, 2016 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 30-ին, Վրաստան ժամանեց Հռոմի պապը: Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի Վրաստանում երկօրյա հյուրընկալության պատվին կազմակերպված միջոցառումներին իր մասնակցությունն ունեցավ Վիրահայոց թեմը:

Թեմակալ առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Վազգեն եպիսկոպոսը Միրզախանյանը, հրավիրված լինելով հյուրընկալության առիթով կազմակերպված միջոցառումներին, ներկա գտնվեց Վրաստանի նախագահի նստավայրում Սրբազան քահանայապետի հետ երկրի նախագահի, օրենսդիր և գործադիր մարմինների ղեկավարների հանդիպմանը:

Վազգեն Սրբազանը Վրաց Ուղղափառ Եկեղեցու Պատրիարքարանում մասնակցեց նաև Համայն Վրաստանի կաթողիկոս –պատրիարք Իլիա Երկրորդի կողմից Հռոմի պապի պատվին կազմակերպված ընդունելությանը:

Վիրահայոց թեմի հավատացյալները Թեմի առաջնորդի գլխավորությամբ ներկա գտնվեցին Թբիլիսիի Մ.Մեսխիի անվան մարզադաշտում Սրբազան Քահանայապետի ձեռամբ մատուցված Սուրբ Պատարագին, որի ավարտին Գերաշնորհ Տեր Վազգեն եպիսկոպոսը Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապին փոխանցեց Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի եղբայրական ողջույնները: Միջոցառումներին Վիրահայոց թեմի առաջնորդին ուղեկցում էին առաջնորդի օգնական հոգեշնորհ Տեր Խորեն վարդապետ Հովհաննիսյանը և Թեմի իրավական և համագործակցության հարցերի բաժնի տնօրեն Միքայել Ավագյանը:

Վիրահայոց թեմն իր աջակցությունը բերեց նաև Հռոմի պապի ժամանման աշխատանքներին, որոնց մեջ ընդգրկված էին Թբիլիսիի Սուրբ Գևորգ առաջնորդանիստ և Սուրբ Էջմիածին եկեղեցիների երգչախմբերը և Վիրահայոց թեմի երիտասարդական բաժնի ակտիվիստներ»։
