Հայկական ակնաբուժություն նախագծի նոր նախաձեռնության շնորհիվ ոլորտում աչքի ընկած ակնաբույժները հնարավորություն կունենան 2-3 ամիս տևողությամբ վերապատրաստում անցնել արտերկրում: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին Հայկական ակնաբուժություն նախագծից, «Հաջորդ սերունդ» ծրագիրը նպաստելու է Հայաստանում շարունակական մասնագիտական կրթությանը: «Հաջորդ սերունդ» կրթական ծրագիրն իրականացվելու է ԱՄՆ-ի և Հայաստանի անվանի բժիշկների մասնակցությամբ: Ծրագրում ընդգրկված են հետևյալ ոլորտները` եղջրաթաղանթ, վիտրեո ռետինա, գլաուկոմա, պլաստիկ վիրաբուժություն եւ մանկական ակնաբուժություն: Դիմորդները պետք է ունենան կլինիկական օրդինատորի դիպլոմ, աշ խատանքի որոշակի փորձ եւ անգլերենի բավարար իմացություն: Այն դիմորդները, ովքեր կբավարարեն վերոնշյալ չափանիշներին, կընտրվեն որպես «Հաջորդ սերունդ» ծրագրի մասնակից: Ծրագիրը ներառելու է 7-8 ամիս տեւողությամբ կրթական փուլ և քննական գործընթաց: Վերոնշյալ ոլորտների հայ և ամերիկացի մասնագետներից կազմված կազմկոմիտեն կգնահատի կրթական նյութերից մասնակիցների ստացած գիտելիքները և ձեռք բերած հմտությունները: Հայաստանից եւ Արցախից, ինչպես նաև հարևան երկրներից հետաքրքրված ակնաբույժները պետք է համապատասխան հայտ լրացնեն և ներկայացնեն ՀԱՆ-ի գրասենյակ: Հայտերն ընդունվում են 2016թ. սեպտեմբերի 15-ից հոկտեմբերի 15-ը:
