Հայաստանի կառավարության նպատակն է հանրապետությունում բարեփոխումների իրականացման ճանապարհով ապահովել երկրի գերագույն արժեքի՝ ՀՀ քաղաքացու պաշտպանվածությունը, արժանապատվությունը, կենսամակարդակի բարձրացումը, ապագայի նկատմամբ լավատեսությունը: Ազգային ժողովում կառավարության ծրագիրը ներկայացնելու ընթացքում այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը: «Այս նպատակները կարևոր են միշտ: Կառավարության նպատակն է վեր հանել դրանց հասնելու խոչընդոտները և դրանց արդյունավետ լուծումներ տալ»,-նշեց վարչապետը:

Կարեն Կարապետյանը հավելեց, որ ներկայում, երբ Հայաստանի հիմնական գործընկեր երկրներում նկատվում է տնտեսական անկում, անհրաժեշտ է խորությամբ վերլուծել տնտեսական զարգացման մասին ՀՀ կառավարության մոտեցումները՝ հատկապես տնտեսական զարգացման ուղղությունների, տնտեսական ներուժի մրցակցության վերաբերյալ: «Այդ նպատակով այսօր արդեն կառավարության առջև դրված է պահանջ՝ իրականացնել կառավարման համակարգի և տնտեսական վիճակի ախտորոշում և առաջարկել կարճաժամկետ միջոցառումների և երկարաժամկետ ռազմավարության ծրագրեր»,- ընդգծեց վարչապետը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ կառավարության առջև դրված ռազմավարական առաջնահերթ խնդիրներից է երկրի ներքին և արտաքին անվտանգության ապահովումը: «Մեր առջև ծառացած ռազմական սպառնալիքը պահանջում է ունենալ մարտունակ, հասարակության վստահությունն ու աջակցությունը վայելող պաշտպանական համակարգ: Վստահեցնում եմ, որ կառավարությունը ջանքեր չի խնայելու Հայաստանի և Արցախի նկատմամբ ցանկացած ռազմական ագրեսիա զսպելու, տարածաշրջանում հավասարակշռությունը պահելու:

Կարևոր խնդիր է նաև ՀՀ բարեփոխված Սահմանադրության կենսագործունեության ապահովումը: «Մենք պետք է կյանքի կոչենք քաղաքական ինստիտուտների նկատմամբ մեր քաղաքացիների վստահությունը, առանց դրա մենք չենք կարող ապահովել արդար  և հավասար միջավայր, չենք կարող ձևավորել ապագայի նկատմամբ հստակ տեսլական: Կառավարությունը պետք է բարեփոխումները սկսի հենց կառավարությունից, մենք պետք է նոր շունչ հաղորդենք պետական և տեղական ինքնակառավարման համակարգերին, մենք պետք է հասնենք նրան, որ նվազագույն ծախսերով ապահովենք առավելագույն արդյունք»,- հավելե ց ՀՀ վարչապետը:
