«Պատմամշակութային արգելոց-թանգարանների և պատմական միջավայրի պահպանության ծառայություն» ՊՈԱԿ-ը տեղեկացնում է, որ Սյունիքի մարզի Հարժիս գյուղից մոտ 3.5 կմ հյուսիս-արևմուտք գնվող «Կոտրած» քարավանատուն հուշարձանը կառուցված է 1319 թվականին: Այն որեւէ փոփոխության չի ենթարկվել: 

ՊՄՊ Սյունիքի մարզային ծառայության հուշարձանների պահապան Ռուդիկ Մկրտչյանը հոկտեմբերի 21-ին տեղում լուսանկարել է երեք ուղեցույց քարերն էլ, որևէ փոփոխություն կամ ուղեցույց քարի տեղափոխություն չի կատարվել:

Քարավանատնից մոտ 10 մետր հյուսիս-արևմուտք հաշվառված է 14-րդ դարի ուղեցույց քար: Դարձյալ 14-րդ դարով թվագրվող մեկ այլ ուղեցույց քար  գտնվում է այդ քարավանատնից մոտ 850 մ. արևմուտք` Գորիս-Նախիջևան հին ճանապարհին: Գորիս-Նախիջևան հին ճանապարհի վրա գտնվող երրորդ ուղեցույց քարը գտնվում է քարավանատնից մոտ 1 կմ արևմուտք:

Համլետ Պետրոսյանի ներկայացրած 2011 թ․ լուսանկարում պատկերված ուղեցույց քարը «Կոտրած» քարավանատնից մոտ 10 մետր հյուսիս-արևմուտք գտնվող ուղեցույց քարն է , որը պատկերված է ս․ թ․ հոկտեմբերի 21-ին արված լուսանկարում (հրապարակման գլխավոր լուսանկարը)։

«Առաջին անգամ չէ, որ Համլետ Պետրոսյանը հուշարձանների պահպանության վերաբերյալ ստահոտ լուրեր է տարածում, որի նպատակը բնավ հուշարձանի նկատմամբ «հոգատար» վերաբերմունքը չէ, ինքնահաստատման և ինքնադրսևորման այս քայլով Համլետ Պետրոսյանը փորձում է իր վրա բևեռել հանրության՝ այդ թվում իր ուսանողների, և մշակույթի ոլորտի պատասխանատուների ուշադրությունը։
