Բարաք Օբաման ցույց է տվել Սպիտակ տան սենյակները, որտեղ ապրում է իր ընտանիքը

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման և առաջին տիկին Միշել Օբաման բացել են Սպիտակ տան իրենց սեփական ռեզիդենցիայի դռները «հանրության» առաջ։ Օբամաների տան նկարներն արվել է «Architectural Digest»-ի նոր համարի համար։  
 
Օբամաների սենյակների, ինչպես նաև Օբամայի «օվալ օֆիսի» դիզայնը կատարել է Լոս Անջելեսում ապրող դիզայներ Մայքլ Սմիթը՝ 2008թ․-ին Օբամաներին հանդիպելուց հետո։
Առաջին տիկինը սենյակներում կախել է մի քանի ժամանակակից նկարներ՝ ներառյալ Ռոբերտ Ռոուշենբերգի, Սեմ Ֆրանսիսի, Հանս Հոֆմանի նկարներից։
 
Նկարներից երևում է, որ Բարաք Օբաման պահում է նաև Գրեմմի մրցանակաբաշխության արձանիկն ու Մուհամեդ Ալիի նկարը։
Առաջին տիկինը նշել է, որ Սմիթը կարողացել էր արտացոլել ընտանիքի ճաշակը՝ հարգելով Սպիտակ տան պատմությունը։ 
«Ամենից կարևորը, այն մեր ընտանիքի համար տուն էր»,-ասել էր Միշել Օբաման ամսագրին։

A work from the impressionist landscape painter Daniel Garber hangs in the Yellow Oval Room. Garber was born in Indiana in 1880 and known for his landscape paintings, passing away in 1958.
 
 
 A still life of two lemons, a lime and and a peach along with one of two glasses also hangs in the room
 
 
 
A work from the pop-art painter Robert Rauschenberg, Early Bloomer, hangs in the dining room . This was just the fourth piece of contemporary artwork to join the White House collection.  Rauschenberg was born in Texas in 1925 anbd one of the original painters of pop art, passing away in 2008.
 
A work from African-American Expressionist painter Alma Thomas  that was painted in 1966 entitled Resurrection also hangs in the dining room. She is the first African-American woman to have her work hung in the White House. Thomas was born in Georgia in 1891 and passed away in 1979, with most of her most famous works being painted in the finale two decades of her life.
 
 
The tea services from the 1939 World's Fair is also on display in the Old Family Dining Room
 
The pictorial weaving Black, White, and Gray by Anni Albers has been adapted for the rug in the room
 
 
The Obamas put a large collection of more modern works on display in the past eight years
 
 
 
 
Framed family photos sit next to one of Obama's Grammy awards 
 
 
A look at the mantle, which holds fresh-cut flowers, a personalized football  and a giant plate with the likeness of Abraham Lincoln, who like Obama was from Illinois 
 
 
George Catlin scenes of Native American life hang on the walls over some of Obama's memorabilia. Catlin was borin Pennsylvania in 1796 and spent most of his life travelling and painting Native America scenes. 
 
 
Obama's uses the Treaty Room's namesake table (above), which has been in the White House since 1869, as a desk when he is in the room
 
 
Propped up against the wall in the Treaty Room is a photograph of Muhammad Ali taken by Neil Leifer as he chopped wood at his cabin in Deer Lake and a flag representing the first 13 colonies
