ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նոյեմբերի 3-ին ընդունել է Սլովակիայի Հանրապետության Ազգային խորհրդի նախագահ Անդրեյ Դանկոյի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրերին մեր երկրում և ընդգծել, որ Հայաստանը կարևոր նշանակություն է տալիս միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցությանը՝ համարելով այն միջպետական հարաբերությունների կարևոր բաղադրիչ:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ Սլովակիայի Ազգային խորհրդի նախագահի այցը նոր էջ կբացի երկու բարեկամ երկրների օրենսդիր մարմինների միջև կապերի ամրապնդման և խորացման գ ործում: Նշելով, որ չնայած Սլովակիայի Ազգային խորհրդի նախագահի պաշտոնում սա պարոն Դանկոյի առաջին այցն է Հայաստան, Սերժ Սարգսյանը հիշել է 2015թ. ապրիլին նրա այցելությունը մեր երկիր՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված միջոցառումներին մասնակցելու նպատակով: Այդ կապակցությամբ Նախագահ Սարգսյանը իր երախտագիտությունն է հայտնել Անդրել Դանկոյին՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման և դատապարտման գործում նրա սկզբունքային դիրքորոշման համար՝ բարձր գնահատելով նաև Ազգային խորհրդի բոլոր այն ներկայացուցիչների ջանքերը, ովքեր ևս իրենց մեծ ներդրումն են ունեցել Սլովակիայի կողմից Ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչելու, դատապարտելու և ժխտումը քրեականացնելու գործում:

ՀՀ Նախագահը գոհունակությամբ է փաստել, որ Սլովակիան Եվրոպայում Հայաստանի կարևոր գործընկերներից մեկն է, որի հետ մեր երկիրը շահագրգռված է քաղաքական, առևտրատնտեսական, մշակութային և փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող այլ ոլորտներում համագործակցությունը ընդլայնելու և զարգացնելու: 
Զրուցակիցները երկուստեք արդյունավետ են համարել միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում հայ-սլովակյան փոխգործակցությունը:

Սլովակիայի Հանրապետության Ազգային խորհրդի նախագահը իր և իր գլխավորած պատվիրակության անունից շնորհակալություն է հայտնել բարեկամ Հայաստանում իրենց ցուցաբերվող ջերմ հյուրընկալության համար և ընդգծել, որ մեծագույն հարգանք է տածում հայ ժողովդի և նրա դարավոր պատմության նկատմամբ՝ չափազանց բարձր գնահատելով եվրոպական քաղաքակրթության մեջ հայ ժողովրդի ներդրումը:

Հանդիպմանը հայ-սլովակյան երկկողմ հարաբերություններից բացի, անդրադարձ է եղել  եվրոպական ընդհանուր արժեքների վրա հիմնված ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերություններին, տարածաշրջանային խնդիրներին, այդ թվում՝ ԼՂ հիմնախնդրին, Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման գործընթացին:
