 ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանն ընդունել է պաշտոնական այցով Երևան ժամանած Իտալիայի արտաքին գործերի և միջազգային համագործակցության նախարար Պաոլո Ջենտիլոնիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, վարչապետը նշել է, որ Իտալիան Հայաստանի համար բարեկամ երկիր է և  փաստել, որ առկա է երկկողմ բարձր մակարդակի քաղաքական երկխոսություն:  Կառավարութան ղեկավարն ընդգծել է, որ առևտրատնտեսական հարաբերությունների ներկա մակարդակը համապատասխան չէ պոտենցիալ հնարավորություններին, և համոզմունք հայտնել, որ տնտեսական փոխգործակցության հետագա զարգացման ու ընդլայնման ներուժը շատ ավելի բարձր է: Կարեն Կարապետյ անն ավելացրել է, որ կառավարության ծրագրի կարևորագույն ուղղություններից են բարեփոխումների իրականացումը, արտահանման խթանումը և ներդրողների համար առավելագույն գրավիչ պայմանների ստեղծումը: Այդ համատեքստում վարչապետը նշել է, որ առաջիկայում դիվանագիտական խողովակներով արտաքին գործընկերներին կներկայացվեն ներդրումային տարբեր ծրագրեր և նախաձեռնություններ, որոնք կարող են հետաքրքրել նաև իտալացի ներդրողներին: Նշելով, որ Հայաստանում այսօր գրանցված է իտալական կապիտալի մասնակցությամբ 130-ից ավելի ձեռնարկություն՝ գործադիրի ղեկավարը շեշտել է, որ կան համագործակցության լայն հնարավորություններ տնտեսության մի շարք այլ ոլորտներում:

Պաոլո Ջենտիլոնին ևս ընդգծել է առևտրատնտեսական կապերի ընդլայնման անհրաժեշտությունը՝ ավելացնելով, որ ներկայում ընթացքի մեջ են երկկողմ համագործակցությամբ իրականացվող ներդրումային ծրագրեր, այդ թվում՝ ՀՀ-ում ջերմաէլեկտրակայանի կառուցման ծրագիրը, և համաձայնել, որ տնտեսության տարբեր ճյուղերում կան փոխգործակցության լավ նախադրյալներ: Այդ առումով զրուցակիցները կարևորել են միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի ստեղծումը և նշել, որ այն կարող է նպաստել գործարար կապերի սերտացմանը,  ներդրումային կոնկրետ ծրագրերի քննարկմանն ու իրականացմանը:  

Պաոլո Ջենտիլոնին ողջունել է Հայաստանի կառավարության կողմից իրականացվող բարեփոխումները և նշել, որ մեր երկրի ներդրումային գրավչությունը պայմանավորված է նաև Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանն անդամակցությամբ:  

Հանդիպման ընթացքում ՀՀ վարչապետը և Իտալիայի արտաքին գործերի և միջազգային համագործակցության նախարարն անդրադարձել են նաև ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերություններին և մի շարք այլ հարցերի:
