Պենտագոնում սպասում են, որ շուտով ռուսական ավիա- եւ հրթիռային հոծախումբ հարվածներ կհասցվեն Սիրիայի թիրախներին՝ «Ադմիրալ Կուզնեցով» ծանր ավիակիր հածանավի տախտակամածային օդուժի օգտագործմամբ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրեսը, նոյեմբերի 10-ին հայտարարել են ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության նախարարության կենտրոնակայանում:

Ամերիկյան զինվորական աղբյուրների տվյալներով՝ ավիակրի վրա բազավորված Սու-33 եւ ՄիԳ-29Կ տախտակամածային կործանիչները մարտական լրակազմով արդեն սկսել են թռիչքները Սիրիայի տարածքի վրա:  

Դրանք դեռեւս չեն մասնակցել մարտական գործողություններին, սակայն, ինչպես նշում են Պենտագոնում, «կան այն բանի նախանշանները, որ «Ադմիրալ Կուզնեցովի» տախտակամածային օդուժն ավելի խոշոր կոմբինացված այն ուժերի մաս կկազմի, որոնք սիրիական Հալեպ քաղաքի գործողությանը կներգրավվեն արդեն այս  շաբաթվա ընթացքում»:
