Գավառ քաղաքի բնակիչ, մասնագիտությամբ ինժեներ եւ լուսանկարիչ Մարատ Սինանյանն «Արմենպրես»-ին ներկայացրեց մի լուսանկար, որտեղ Կուբայի հեղափոխության առաջնորդ Ֆիդել Կաստրոն է պատկերված՝ ԽՍՀՄ մի խումբ կուսակցական ու պետական գործիչների հետ: Ըստ Մարատ Սինանյանի՝ այդ լուսանկարն արել է ինքը հեռավոր 1963 թվականին Լենինգրադում:

«Այն ժամանակ ես բարձրագույն կրթություն էի ստանում Լենինգրադում: Քանի որ սիրում էի լուսանկարչությամբ զբաղվել եւ թղթակցում էի մի շարք թերթերի ու գործակալությունների, ծանոթ էի նաեւ «ԼԵՆՏԱՍՍ»-ի թղթակից Աբրահամ Մազելեւի հետ: Վերջինս ինձ խնդրեց, որ իր փոխարեն լուսանկարեմ Կուբայի հեղափոխության առաջնորդին Սմոլնիում կազմակերպված ընդունելության ընթացքում, քանի որ ինքը տեսողական լուրջ խնդիրներ ուներ: Ես նրա փոխարեն նրա կողմից տրամադրած լուսանկարչական ապարատով նկարեցի Ֆիդելին եւ նրան ուղեկցող ԽՍՀՄ պաշտոնյաներին: Մազելեւի խնդրանքով այդ նկարը տրամադրեցի կենտրոնական թերթերին ու լրատվական գործակալություններին, սակայն՝ նրա ստորագրությամբ: Չկարողացա մերժել նրա խնդրանքը: Ինձ Սմոլնի տարան անվտանգության աշխատակիցների ուղեկցությամբ ու թույլտվությամբ: Լուսանկարը մինչ հիմա պահում եմ՝ ի հարգանք Կուբայի հեղափոխության առաջնորդի»,-պատմեց Մարատ Սինանյանը: Մարատ Սինանյանի շնորհիվ նույն օրը Սմոլնիում Ֆիդել Կաստրոյին է փոխանցվում Լենինգրադում սովորող կուբացի ուսանողների դիմում-խնդրանքը՝ իրենց թոշակների չափն ավելացնելու վերաբերյալ: Ընդ որում, կուբացի ուսանողների խնդրանքը հարգվում է:

«Երբ իմ ուսանող ընկեր Խորխեն իմացավ, որ պետք է Սմոլնիում նկարեմ Ֆիդել Կաստրոյի այցն ու ընդունելությունը, խնդրեց, որ իր և ուսանող ընկերների դիմում-խնդրանքը փոխանցեմ իրենց երկրի ղեկավարին: Այդ դիմումում Խորխեն եւ իր ընկերները խնդրում էին, որ Կուբայի կառավարությունը բարձրացնի իրենց կրթաթոշակները, քանի որ մեծ դժվարությամբ էին կարողանում ստացած 60 ռուբլի գումարով հոգալ իրենց կարիքները: Ես մեր անվտանգության աշխատակցի միջոցով Ֆիդել Կաստրոյի թիկնապահին փոխանցեցի իմ ուսանողական ընկերների դիմումը: Ֆիդելը հարգել էր իր երկրի ուսանողների խնդրանքը, եւ նրա մեկնումից մեկ ամիս անց արդեն կուբացի ընկերներիս կրթաթոշակը կրկնապատկվեց: Կուբացիների ուրախությանը չափ չկար, ինձ նվերներ էին տալիս, հարգում ու պատվում: Խորխեի հետ նամակագրական կապ եմ պահպանել մինչեւ 2000 թվականը»,-պատմեց Մարատ Սինանյանը:
