ՀՅԴ-ն հակված է առաջիկա խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին մասնակցել առանց այլ ուժերի հետ դաշինք կազմելու: Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ԱԺ ՀՅԴ խմբակցության ղեկավար Արմեն Ռուստամյանն ընդգծեց, որ իրենք միշտ առանձին են մասնակցել ընտրություններին, իսկ այս պահին էլ որևէ նոր բան չկա, որ ստիպի իրենց դաշինքով մասնակցել:

«Հետագայում կերևա: Բայց քանի մի քիչ ժամանակ կա, և դեռ հայտնի չէ՝ ով է հայտ ներկայացնելու, ինչ ծրագրերով, և ովքեր են խաղի մեջ մտնելու, դրա մասին խոսելը վաղ է»,- ասաց Ռուստամյանը:

Անդրադառնալով ՀՀԿ-ի հետ համագործակցությանը՝ Ռուստամյանն ասաց, որ իշխող քաղաքական ուժի  հետ համագործակցությունը կախված չէ ո՛չ ընտրություններից ո՛չ  կառավարության ձևավորման գործընթացից:«Մենք այդ համագործակցության մասին հայտարարել են,  նպատակները հռչակելով, և այդ նպատակների շուրջ է, որ համագործակցում ենք: Դա կապված չէ որևէ այլ ձևաչափի հետ:

Մեր համագործակցության մեջ ժամկետներ չկան: Շատ հստակ արձանագրված է համագործակցության ընդհանուր տրամաբանությունը: Այն հիմնականում վերաբերում է սահմանադրական փոփոխությունները կյանքի կոչելու պրոցեսներին: Սա մեծ գործընթաց է, որ պետք է տեղի ունենա հստակ ժամանակահատվածներով, որոնք արձանագրված են Սահմանադրության անցումային դրույթներում»,- ընդգծեց ՀՅԴ խմբակցության ղեկավարը:

Արմեն Ռուստամյանը նաև վստահություն հայտնեց, որ առաջիկա ընտրություններն աննախադեպ են լինելու: Ըստ պատգամավորի՝ բոլոր այն խնդիրները, որոնք կապված էին իշխանությունների վերարտադրության մեխանիզմները արմատախիլ անելու հետ, կատարել են, և այսօր իսկապես ձևավորվել է մի ընտրական համակարգ, որով թե՛ ընտրությունները կանցնեն այնպես, որ իշխանությունները պահպանեն իրենց դիրքերը` վերընտրվելով, ոչ թե վերարտադրվելով, թե՛  ընդդիմությունը կկարողանա հաջողել ընտրություններում և իշխանափոխություն իրականացնել:

Ռուստամյանը կարևորեց նաև այն փաստը, որ ընդդիմության համար նախատեսվել է նվազագույն մանդատների քանակ, և որ, անկախ ընտրությունների արդյունքներից, ընդդիմությունը խորհրդարանում կունենա մեկ երրորդից ոչ պակաս ներկայացվածություն:

«Մենք կունենանք մի նոր քաղաքական համակարգ` իշխանությունները զսպված են լինելու, որովհետև չի լինելու մեկը, որ ունենա այսօրվա նախագահի լիազորությունները: Սահմանադրորեն նախատեսված իշխանության երեք ճյուղերը տարանջատված են լինելու, և ամենակարևորը` ընտրությունները տալու են հնարավորություն ձևավորելու ընդդիմություն-իշխանություն` իրար հակակշռող մի համակարգ, որը Հայաստանում երբեք չի եղել»,- եզրափակեց  Ռուստամյանը:
