Հայաստանի տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարար Սուրեն Կարայանը երկրի զբոսաշրջային ոլորտի առկա ներուժի բացահայտման անհրաժեշտություն է տեսնում: Ջերմուկում ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի գլխավորությամբ Հայաստանի զբոսաշրջության ոլորտի զարգացման հեռանկարների վերաբերյալ խորհրդակցությունից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նախարարն ընդգծեց, որ առաջին քայլը, որի ուղղությամբ աշխատելու են, զբոսաշրջության ոլորտում առկա ներուժի բացահայտումն է:

«Հայաստանում զբոսաշրջության զարգացման ուղղությամբ բավականին մեծ ներուժ կա, սակայն, ցավոք, կարող եմ ֆիքսել, որ այդ ներուժի շատ փոքր մասն է իրացված»,-  նշեց Սուրեն Կարայանը:

Նա օրինակ բերեց Ջերմուկը՝ ընդգծելով, որ այդ քաղաքում զբոսաշրջության զարգացման մեծ ներուժ կա, որի միայն շատ փոքր մասն է օգտագործված: «Մենք Ջերմուկում զբոսաշրջության զարգացման հետ կապված որոշակի առաջարկներ ենք ներկայացրել հանրապետության Նախագահին»,- նշեց  ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարը:

Անդրադառնալով զբոսաշրջության զարգացման տնտեսական արդյունքի մասին հարցին՝ նախարարը հավելեց, որ նախատեսվում է 3 տարի հետո Հայաստանում ընդունել շուրջ 2 միլիոն 500 հազար զբոսաշրջիկի, ինչի արդյունքում հնարավոր կլինի 2.5 միլիարդ դրամի լրացուցիչ եկամուտ ապահովել:

Սուրեն Կարայանը հայտնեց, որ այս տարի Հայաստանն ընդունել է շուրջ 1 միլիոն 200 հազար զբոսաշրջիկի:
