Երեկ հայտնի դարձավ, որ լիբանանահայ հայտնի լրագրող Պաուլա Յագուպյանը Լիբանանի նոր կառավարության մաս է կազմելու:  30 անդամից կազմված կառավարության կազմում հայուհի Յագուպյանը կդառնա նախարար և կներկայացնի վարչապետ Սաատ Հարիրիի բլլոկը: Յագուպյանի՝ նախարար նշանակվելու դեպքում, նա դառնում է առաջին կին նախարարը  լիբանանյան կառավարությունում:

Պաուլան  ծնվել եւ մեծացել է Լիբանանում։ Նրա հայրը հայ է, իսկ մայրը՝ լիբանանցի։

«Հայրս Ցեղասպանություն վերապրածներից էր։ Նա չորս տարեկան էր, երբ մորը սպանել են իր աչքի առջեւ։ Հայրս մեծացել է Հալեպի մանկատանը։Նա այս ամենի մասին մեզ պատմել է առանց ատելության կամ թշնամանքի։ Հայրս մեզ ներկայացրել է ամենը, որպեսզի մենք ճանաչենք մեր պատմությունը։Կարծում եմ՝ նոր սերունդը պետք է իմանա իր ազգի պատմությունն ու դասեր քաղի»,- ասում է Պաուլան։

Պաուլան ինը տարեկանում կորցրել է հորը։ «Շնորհակալ եմ հորիցս, որ հասկանում եւ խոսում եմ հայերեն»,- նշում է Պաուլան, ով տիրաետում է նաեւ  արաբերենին, անգլերենին ու ֆրանսերենին։

Պաուլան 17 տարեկանում առաջին անգամ լրատվական հաղորդում է վարել։ Նա իր կարիերան սկսել է լիբանանյան ICN հեռուստաալիքում։ Ինչպես ինքն է նշում՝ դա հնարավորություն էր զարգացնել իր գիտելիքներն ու լրագրողական հմտությունները։ Հետագայում նա աշխատել է LBC, MTV, CNN հեռուստաընկերություններում։

«Լրագրողի մասնագիտությունը մեծ առաքելություն է ներառում. էթիկա, պրոֆեսիոնալիզմ, հարգանք, օբյեկտիվություն»,- վստահ է նա։

Նախորդ տասը տարիներին Պաուլան վարել է Հարիրիի հովանավորած Future հեռուստակայանով սփռվող Interviews քաղաքական հաղորդումը:

Նա նաեւ Integrated Communications ընկերության հիմնադիրն ու ղեկավարն է։

Պաուլան ամուսնացած է եւ ունի որդի՝ Պաուլը։ Նրա ամուսինը «Ալհուրա» ընկերության գործադիր տնօրեն Մուֆագ Հարբն է։

«Առաջին հերթին ես կենտրոնացած եմ ընտանիքիս վրա։ Ես եւ ամուսինս երբեք մեր որդուն միայնակ չենք թողնում եւ մեր պլանները կազմում ենք նրան ընտանիքին հարմարեցնելով»,- նշում է նա։
