Ոչ մեծ, խնամքով մշակված ու հղկված, սովորաբար բնական նյութերից (փայտ, կերամիկա, սովորական մետաղ) կամ կիսաթանկարժեք քարերից պատրաստված զարդերը պաշտպանված լինելու, անվտանգության և թաքնված լինելու ձգտման մասին են վկայում:    Թանկարժեք մետաղներից կամ քարերից պատրաստված թանկ արժողությամբ զարդերը կապիտալը պահելու խելամիտ միջոց են հանդիսանում, քանի որ դրանք հնարավոր է բազմակի օգտագործել, վաճառել և այլն: Դրանք ազդեցիկություն և հեղինակություն ցուցադրող զարդեր են: Այդպիսի զարդեր կրողը կարծես ասում է. «Տեսե՛ք, ես ունեմ այն, ինչը դուք երբեք չեք ունենա»:   Վառ արտահայտված դիմահարդարումը, դաջվածքները և այլ գրգռիչ զարդարանքներն օգտագործվում են ուշադրություն գրավելու նպատակով: Դրանց նպատակը ոչ թե գեղեցկացնելն է, այլ գրգռելը, հետաքրքրությունը խթանելն ու բորբոքելը: Այս տիպի զարդարանքներին են պատկանում նաև կաշվե ապարանջանները, պողպատյա շղթաները, պարանոցից կախած մորթու կտորները, կենդանիների ատամներից կամ ժանիքներից կազմած վզնոցները, փոքրիկ գանգերը և այլն:     Գեղագիտորեն ձևավորված զարդերն ընտրվում են որոշակի ցանկությանը համապատասխան: Դրանք ներդաշնակվում են զգեստների կամ սանրվածքի հետ: Այս զարդերն ուրիշ նպատակ չունեն, բացի գեղեցկության նկատմամբ ձգտումը ցուցադրելուց:   Զարդարանքների բացակայությունը ևս կարող է ցուցադրական բնույթ ունենալ, եթե դա պայմանավորված չէ ֆինանսական պրոբլեմներով կամ աշխատանքային անհրաժեշտությամբ: Սզբունքորեն զարդեր չկրող մարդն այդպիսով ընդգծում է իր ցանկությունը` սիրված և գնահատված լինել իր գործերի և ներքին հատկանիշների, այլ ոչ թե ինչ-որ արտաքին բաների համար:  Ուշադրություն դարձրեք ժամացույցին: Արաբական թվերով թվացույց ունեցող կամ բացովի կափարիչով ու շղթայիկով ժամացույցների տերերը սովորաբար պահպանողական մարդիկ են լինում: Բազմաֆունկցիոնալ ժամացույց ունեցողները սովորաբար հաշվենկատ են և ձգտում են յուրաքանչյուր իրավիճակից առավելագույն օգուտ ստանալ: Դե իսկ եթե մարդն ընդհանրապես ժամացույց չի կրում, ապա նա հոգով երիտասարդ է, էնտուզիաստ ու ռոմանտիկ, որին կյանքը դեռևս շատ բան կսովորեցնի: Կոշիկների մաշված կրունկները ևս շատ բան կարող են պատմել իրենց տիրոջ մասին: Եթե մաշված է կրունկի ներսի կողմի եզրը, ապա այդպիսի տղամարդն անվճռական է, իսկ կինը լավ բնավորություն ունի: Եթե մաշված է կրունկի արտաքին եզրը, ապա տերը նախաձեռնող անձնավորություն է, իսկ եթե կրունկը շատ ուժեղ ծռված է դեպի դուրս, ապա տերը հակված է անփութության ու անհոգության:  Տղամարդու հավասարաչափ մաշված կրունկը վկայում է տիրոջ բարյացակամության մասին: Եթե խոսքը կնոջ կրունկի մասին է, ապա նրա տիրուհին, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, շատ հոգատար մայր է:
