Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախումբը հայտարարություն է տարածել` կապված նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի կողմից ստորագրված հրամանագրի հետ, որը նախատեսում է միառժամանակ արգելել 7 երկրի քաղաքացիների մուտքը Միացյալ Նահանգներ:

Հայտարարության մեջ հանձնախումբը նշել է, որ շարունակում է մտահոգված լինել նախագահի հրամանագրի առնչությամբ` թե ԱՄՆ քաղաքականության, թե հայ անհատների ու ընտանիքների վրա հնարավոր ազդեցության տեսանկյունից:

Հայտնելով, որ իրենք խնդրի առնչությամբ կապի մեջ են Կոնգրեսի և Սպիտակ տան հետ` հանձնախումբը խորհուրդ է տվել այն հայերին, ում բարեկամները կամ ընկերները ձերբակալվել են ԱՄՆ մտնելիս կամ արգելվել է նրանց մուտքը երկիր, կապվել հանձնախմբի հետ և տեղեկացնել, թե ինչ իրադրության պայմաններում են գտնվում:

Բացի այդ, Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախումբը կոչ է արել այն հայերին, ովքեր Իրանից, Իրաքից, Լիբիայից, Սոմալիից, Սուդանից, Սիրիայից կամ Եմենից են և ԱՄՆ քաղաքացի չեն, խուսափել Միացյալ Նահանգների տարածքը լքելուց, քանի որ կա վտանգ, որ հետ վերադառնալիս նրանց մուտքը կարող է արգելվել` անկախ իմիգրացիոն կարգավիճակից:

Հանձնախումբը հիշեցրել է, որ իրենք պարբերաբար խորհրդակցում են քաղաքացիական և իրավական կազմակերպությունների հետ: «Որպես հայկական ծագում ունեցող ամերիկացիներ, հպարտ ներգաղթյալների համայնք, որոնցից շատերը Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը վերապրած ընտանիքներից են, որոնք արմատներ ունեն Սիրիայում, Իրաքում, Իրանում և հրամանագրում նշված այլ երկրներում, մենք շարունակում ենք խորապես մտահոգված լինել այդ հրամանագրով նախատեսված բարոյական, իրավական և մարդասիրական սահմանափակումների առնչությամբ»,- ասվում է հայտարարության մեջ:

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի կողմից հունվարի 27-ին ստորագրած հրամանագրով 90-օրյա ժամկետով ԱՄՆ մուտքի սահմանափակումներ են մտցվում Սիրիայի, Իրաքի, Իրանի, Լիբիայի, Եմենի, Սոմալիի և Սուդանի քաղաքացիների համար: Արգելքը վերաբերում է վերոնշյալ երկրների քաղաքացիների համար՝ անկախ այն հանգամանքից, թե արդյոք նրանք ունեն բնակության իրավունք, Green Card կամ վիզա:
