Ավարտվեց նոյեմբերի 19-ին մեկնարկած Երևանի քաղաքապետի գավաթի III խաղարկությունը: 

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` Քաղաքապետի գավաթի խաղարկությունն անցկացվեց երկու փուլով: Առաջին փուլում կայացան 6 ընտրական մրցաշարեր, որոնց արդյունքում առաջին 10 տեղերը գրաված շախմատիստներն իրավունք ստացան մասնակցելու երկրորդ փուլին: Այստեղ նրանց միացան ՖԻԴԵ-ի դասական շախմատի վարկանիշային ցուցակում Հայաստանի շախմատային ֆեդերացիան ներկայացնող առաջին 10 շախմատիստները, ինչպես նաև 4 շախմատիստներ՝ Երևանի շախմատի ֆեդերացիայի հրավերով: Այս 24 շախմատիստները սկզբում պայքարեցին 4 ենթախմբերում՝ 6-ական մաս նակիցներով: Ենթախմբերի 2-ական հաղթողները շարունակեցին պայքարը Քաղաքապետի գավաթի համար՝ արդեն նոկաուտ մրցակարգով: Նոկաուտ մրցաշարին մասնակցելու ուղեգրեր էին նվաճել Զավեն Անդրիասյանը, Տիգրան Լ. Պետրոսյանը, Ռոբերտ Հովհաննիսյանը, Կարեն Գրիգորյանը, Արամ Հակոբյանը, Տիգրան Հարությունյանը, Մանուէլ Պետրոսյանն ու Հայկ Մարտիրոսյանը:


Նոկաուտ համակարգով անցկացված մրցաշարի հաղթող դարձավ Զավեն Անդրիասյանը: 1/4 եզրափակիչում Անդրիասյանը 2-0 հաշվով հաղթանակ տոնեց Տիգրան Հարությունյանի նկատմամբ, իսկ կիսաեզրափակիչում 1.5-0.5 հաշվով առավել ության հասավ Տիգրան Լ. Պետրոսյանի նկատմամբ:


Եզրափակիչում Անդրիասյանի մրցակիցն էր ՖԻԴԵ-ի վարպետ Արամ Հակոբյանը, ով պայքարից դուրս էր թողել գրոսմայստերներ Կարեն Գրիգորյանին և Ռոբերտ Հովհաննիսյանին: Եզրափակիչի առաջին երկու պարտիաները, որոնցում յուրաքանչյուր մասնակցին տրված էր 10 րոպե՝ 5 վայրկյան հավելումով սկսած առաջին քայլից, ավարտվեցին ոչ-ոքի արդյունքով: Հաղթողին որոշելու համար նշանակվեցին 2 լրացուցիչ պարտիաներ, որոնցում յուրաքանչյուր մասնակցին տրված էր 3 րոպե՝ 2 վայրկյան հավելմամբ սկսած առաջին քայլից: Լրացուցիչ 2 պատիաներն էլ ավարտվեցին Անդրիասյանի հաղթանակով, և նա դարձավ Երևանի քաղաքապետի գավաթի III խաղարկության հաղթող:
