Հոկտեմբերի 10-ին ՀՀ-ի` ԵՏՄ-ին անդամակցության պայմանագրի ստորագրումից առաջ Ղազախստանի նախագահ Ն. Նազարբաևը հայտարարել էր, թե հաջողվել է փոխզիջման հասնել նրբանկատություն պահանջող հարցերում: Ի՞նչ էր ակնարկում Նազարբաևը և ի՞նչ փոխզիջումների մասին է խոսքը՝ ORER.am-ը զրուցեց «Նոր ժամանակներ» կուսակցության ղեկավար, քաղաքական գործիչ Արամ Կարապետյանի հետ:
«Նազարբաևի հայտարարությունը ենթադրում է այն, որ Հայաստանը Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության անդամ է դառնում առանց Ղարաբաղի: Այսիքն՝ Նազարբաևն ասաց այն, ինչ ասելու էր: Բնական է»:
Հարցին, թե դա նշանակո՞ւմ է, որ մաքսակետ է լինելու ՀՀ և ԼՂՀ-ի միջև, Արամ Կարապետյանը պատասխանեց. «Ո՛չ, դա ենթադրում է, որ Հայաստանը ԵՏՄ-ի մաս է կազմում իր սահմաններով: Նույն բանն էր լինելու նաև Ասոցացման համաձայնագրի մաս կազմելու դեպքում, ԵՄ-ի անդամ դառնալու դեպքում»:
Դիտարկմանը, թե փորձագետներն ասում են, որ ինչ-որ մութ կետ այնուամենայնիվ կա ԵՏՄ-ի անդամակցության գործում, իսկ ԵՄ-ի անդամակցության դեպքում մաքսակետի պահանջ չէր լինելու՝ Արամ Կարապետյանն ասաց, որ նույն փարձագետները նախքան ԵՏՄ-ին անդամակցելը այլ բան էին ասում. «Որոշ մարդիկ, փորձագետներ, փորձագետների փորձագետներ, ասում էին, թե պետք է ճանաչել ԼՂՀ-ի անկախությունը: Որ անկախությունը ճանաչեր, Հայաստանը հո մաքսակետ լինելո՞ւ էր: Լինելո՛ւ էր: Դրա համար մարդիկ մոռանում են, թե հինգ րոպե առաջ ինչ են ասել: Մեր փորձագետներից շատերը փորձագետներ չեն: Նրանք պետք է անալիզի ենթարկեն իրավիճակը և նոր աղբյուր հանդիսանան, ոչ թե այլ աղբյուրներից օգտվեն ու նույնը ասեն: Ոչ մի մութ կետ էլ չկա՝պայմանագիրը հրապարակված է»:
