ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը փետրվարի 13-ին աշխատանքային այցով եղել է ՀՀ Գեղարքունիքի և Տավուշի մարզերում: Շրջայցին մասնակցել են ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարար Լևոն Ալթունյանը, ՀՀ ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետ, գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Մովսես Հակոբյանը, բարձրաստիճան մի շարք պաշտոնյաներ ու զինվորականներ: Այս մասին  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Այցը մեկնարկել է Վարդենիս քաղաքից, որտեղ շրջելով ու տեղում ծանոթանալով կայազորային հոսպիտալի և քաղաքային հիվանդանոցի պայմաններին՝ պաշտպանության ու առողջապահության նախարարները քննարկել են բուժհաստատությունների միավորմանն առնչվող հարցեր, կարևորել քաղաքացու ու զինծառայողի համար բուժման լավագույն պայմանների ապահովումը:

Այնուհետև ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը եղել է հայ-ադրբեջանական պետական սահմանի արևելյան հատվածի մարտական հենակետերից մեկում: Շրջելով խրամուղիներով` նախարարը տեղում ծանոթացել է մարտական հերթապահության կրման պայմաններին, անձնակազմի բարոյահոգեբանական վիճակին, ինժեներական կառույցների հուսալիությանը, ինչպես նաև խրախուսել դիրքապահ  մի քանի  զինծառայողների:

Շրջայցի հաջորդ կանգառը Գեղարքունիքի մարզի Վահան համայնքում էր: ՀՀ պաշտպանության և առողջապահության նախարարները, ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետը հանդիպել են մարզի ղեկավարության, սահմանամերձ համայնքի բնակիչների հետ:  Ողջունելով հանդիպման մասնակիցներին՝ Վիգեն Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանի սահմանամերձ բնակավայրերը մշտապես գտնվում են ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության ուշադրության կենտրոնում: Լսելով բնակիչների խնդիրները՝ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարն ու ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետն ընդգծել են, որ սահմանամերձ գյուղացու պաշտպանությունը հուսալի ձեռքեր ում է, և առաջապահ հենակետերում արվում է ամեն ինչ՝ բնակչության անվտանգությունն առավել ապահով դարձնելու համար:

Շրջայցի շրջանակում պատվիրակությունը եղել է նաև 3-րդ բանակային զորամիավորման զինավաններից մեկում, որտեղ ընթացող շինարարական աշխատանքները մոտենում են ավարտին: Զորամիավորման զորամասերից մեկի անձնակազմն առաջիկայում ծառայությունը կշարունակի նոր ու հարմարավետ պայմաններում: Նորակառույց զինավանում Վիգեն Սարգսյանը ծանոթացել է կատարված ու ընթացիկ աշխատանքներին, ունկնդրել 3-րդ և 2-րդ բանակային զորամիավորումների հրամանատարների զեկույցները: 

Մեկօրյա այցը եզրափակվել է Բերդում: ՀՀ պաշտպանության և առողջապահության նախարարները ծանոթացել են զինվորական հոսպիտալի և քաղաքային հիվանդանոցի շենքային պայմաններին, քննարկել են բժշկական հաստատությունների միավորմանն առնչվող հարցեր:

Լրագրողների հետ կայացած զրույցի ընթացքում պաշտպանության ու առողջապահության նախարարներն ամփոփել են այցը, ընդգծել խնդրահարույց հարցերին տեղում ծանոթանալու և համատեղ քննարկելու կարևորությունն ու արդյունավետությունը:
