Հարավային Կորեայի ամենահարուստ մարդկանցից մեկը՝ Samsung Electronics ընկերության փոխնախագահ եւ փաստական ղեկավար Լի Չժե Յոնը, ձերբակալվել Է կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի կապակցությամբ, որը բերեց երկրի նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեի իմպիչմենտի հարցին, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
Հունվարի 12-ին դատարանը մերժել Էր դատախազների համանման պահանջը: 
Կոռուպցիոն սկանդալը ծայր Է առել հոկտեմբերին, երբ մամուլում հաղորդագրություններ հայտնվեցին հարավկորեական խոշոր կորպորացիաների, այդ թվում՝ Samsung-ի կողմից կառավարության արտոնություններ ստանալու վերաբերյալ՝ այն ֆոնդերին խոշոր գումարներ տրամադրելու փոխարեն, որոնք ստեղծվել Էին պետության ղեկավարի ընկերուհու՝ Ցոյ Սուն Սիլի կողմից: Չզբաղեցնելով պետական որեւԷ պաշտոն՝ նա, ինչպես պնդվում Է, միջամտում Էր նախագահական վարչակազմի գործերին եւ օգուտներ ստանում՝ օգտագործելով կապերը: 
 
Ներկայում Ցոյ Սուն Սիլը ձերբակալված Է:
 
Հատուկ հանձնարարությունների քննիչները Լի Չժե Յոնին կասկածում են այն բանում, որ նա վճարել կամ առնվազն խոստացել Է որպես կաշառք 36,3 մլն դոլար վճարել Ցոյ Սուն Սիլին Հարավային Կորեայի կենսաթոշակային ապահովագրման պետական հիմնադրամի կողմից երկու դուստր ընկերությունների միաձուլմանն աջակցելու դիմաց: Նշվում Է, որ այդ գործարքը վճռորոշ Է դարձել Samsung Electronics-ի՝ հիվանդանոցում գտնվող նախագահ Լի Գըն Հիից ընկերության ղեկավարման հարթ անցումը նրա միակ որդուն՝ Լի Ցժե Յոնին ապահովելու համար, նշում Է «Ռյոնհապ»-ը:
 
Հետաքննությունը պետք Է ավարտվի մինչեւ փետրվարի 28-ը եւ կարող Է միայն մեկ ամսով երկարացվել Կորեայի Հանրապետության նախագահի պաշտոնակատար, վարչապետ Հվան Գյո Անի համաձայնությամբ:
 
Երկրում իշխանությունը նրան Է անցել այն բանից հետո, երբ 2016 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 9-ին խորհրդարանն իմպիչմենտ հայտարարեց նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեին: Մինչեւ ամառ Հարավային Կորեայի Սահմանադրական դատարանը պետք Է կա՛մ հաստատի իմպիչմենտը, կա՛մ վերականգնի Պակ Կըն Հեի լիազորությունները, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
