«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է.«Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ ԱԺ ՀՀԿ-ական պատգամավոր Մհեր Սեդրակյանը երեկ հանդիպել է Սերժ Սարգսյանին: Թե ինչ են զրուցել և ինչ որոշման հանգել հանդիպման ընթացքում, պարզել չհաջողվեց: Միայն նկատելի է եղել, որ Սեդրակյանը նախագահի նստավայրից դուրս է եկել բավականին բարձր տրամադրությամբ:

Ինչպես հայտնի է՝ ՀՀԿ-ի համամասնական և ռեյտինգային թեկնածուների ցուցակներում Մհեր Սեդրակյանի կամ նրա որդու՝ Դավիթ Սեդրակյանի անունը չկար: Ու տևական ժամանակ է, ինչ լուրեր էին շրջանառվում, թե Սեդրակյանը նեղացած է ՀՀԿ-ից և որոշել էր սատարել «Ծառուկյան» դաշինքին, պետք է ռեյտինգային թեկնածուներից լիներ Սեդրակյանի որդին՝ Դավիթ Սեդրակյանը:

Սակայն Դավիթ Սեդրակյանը չառաջադրվեց նաև «Ծառուկյան» դաշինքով: Հաշվի առնելով այն, որ Կենտրոնական ընտրական հանձնաժողովը ցուցակներում 48 ժամ ճշգրտումներ անելու հնարավորություն է տալիս, և այդ ժամկետն էլ դեռ չի սպառվել, ապա կարող ենք հետաքրքիր զարգացումների սպասել. պատգամավորի բարձր տրամադրությունը թերևս դրա ապացույցն է»:
