Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Երկրորդի գլխավորությամբ կայանալիք Պոլսո պատրիարքական փոխանորդ Արամ արքեպիսկոպոս Աթեշյանի և Պոլսո պատրիարքարանի կրոնական ժողովը նախագահ Սահակ եպիսկոպոս Մաշալյանի հանդիպմանն ընդառաջ Թուրքիայի հայ համայնքի մի շարք ներկայացուցիչներ նամակով դիմել են Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին:

Նամակը հրապարակել է «Ակոս»-ը: Նամակը ներկայացնում ենք ամբողջությամբ.

«Ամբողջ ութ տարի Թուրքիայի Հայոց պատրիարքական աթոռը թափուր է: Եկեղեցու և համայնքի մի շարք ներկայացուցիչներ իրենց անհատական հաշիվների պատճառով հետաձգեցին ընտրությունը: Այս երևույթն ավելի քան հինգ հազար ստորագրություններ պարունակող նամակով հանձնել ենք Ձեր ուշադրությանը: Ափսոս, որ Մայր Աթոռից մինչ այժմ պատասխան չենք ստացել:

Անցած ութ տարիների ընթացքում բազմաթիվ բացասական դեպքեր են պատահել: Մեր ավանդության դեմ պետության ձեռքով նշանակված Արամ արքեպիսկոպոս Աթեշյան սրբազանը ժողովրդի կամքից անկախ և անպատասխանատու կերպով գործում է պատրիարքի իրավասությամբ: Առաջնորդի հատկությունից զուրկ Արամ Սրբազանը, դժբախտաբար, 1915թ-ի ցեղասպանության զոհերը անտեսած, խորը վերքեր է թողել այդ կսկիծը սրտի խորքերում զգացող և իրողությունն ընդմիշտ աղաղակողների հոգիներում: Մեր միակ մխիթարությունը մնում է տեսնել, թե ինչպես անձնատուր այս կեցվածքով հանդերձ Թուրքիայի զանազան քաղաքն երում կայանում են ապրիլ 24-յան հիշատակումներ:

Պատրիարքարանը, որը խնդիրների լուծման վայր է, ինքը դարձել է խնդրահարույց: Հոգևորականները չեն հաջողում ճնշումներին դիմադրել և դառնում են գործված սխալներին մեղսակից: Որպես հետևանք հայ համայնքի կապն իր եկեղեցու նկատմամբ տկարացել է: Հովվից զուրկ եկեղեցու համայնքն օրըստօրե հալչում է: Ի վերջո` համբերության բաժակը հորդել է և մարդիկ սկսել են պատրիարքարանի դռան առջև բողոքի ցույցեր իրականացնել:

Վեհափառ Տե՛ր, բազում փորձանքներից հետո հասել ենք պատրիարքական ընտրությունների շեմին: Գիտենք, որ ոմանք այս հանգրվանում էլ պետք է փորձեն ընտրությունը խաթարել, բայց մենք վճռական ենք: Գիտակցում ենք, որ ընտրյալ պատրիարքը միայն եկեղեցու առաջնորդը չէ, այլև պետության դիմաց Թուրքիայի հայերի ներկայացուցիչը: Մեր եկեղեցու տարակարծության խնդրում (հոգ չէ թէ ուշացած) Ձեր հայրական միջամտությունը գոհունակությամբ ողջունում ենք:

Մենք` Թուրքիայի հայերս որոշել ենք սեփական խնդիրները սեփական կամքով լուծել: Հանուն պատրիարքական ընտրության արդար ու թափանցիկ կայացման, խնդրում ենք, որ թելադրեք Արամ Սրբազանի հրաժարականը փոխանորդի պաշտոնից, ինչպես նաև եկեղեցու հոգևորականների կողմից իրենց ավանդական պարտականությունների կատարումից հետո ժողովրդի կամքի չեզոքությամբ ընդունելը: Եվս մեկ անգամ շեշտում ենք, որ ընտրում ենք ոչ թե եկեղեցական համայնքը գլխավորող մի հոգևորական, այլ ամբողջ հայ հասարակությունը պետության ու օրենքների առաջ ներկայացնող մի առաջնորդի: Մտահոգվելով ու խնդիրները լուծելու ջանքով մեզ խրախուսել եք
