Գյումրիում փետրվարի 25-ին նշվեց Անդրանիկ Օզանյանի ծննդյան 152-ամյակը: Ինչպես միշտ, այս անգամ ևս Գյումրիում բոլորը հավաքվել էին Անդրանիկ զորավարի հուշարձանի մոտ: Ի հիշատակ մեծ հայդուկապետի, քաղաքային իշխանություններ ներկայացուցիչները՝ Գյումրու փոխքաղաքապետ Վաղարշակ Մխիթարյանի  գլխավորությամբ, արվեստի ոլորտի, երաժշտական դպրոցների ու թանգարանների  ներկայացուցիչները ծաղկեպսակ ու ծաղիկներ դրեցին զորավարի հուշարձանին: Գյումրու փողային նվագախումբը հանդես եկավ հայդուկական եւ ազգագրական երգեր ի կատարումներով:
 
Շուրջ երեսուն տարի Օսմանյան կայսրության դեմ մարտնչած հայդուկապետին, ով ստանձնեց նաեւ հայկական կամավորական առաջին գնդի հրամատարությունը, հիշել եւ արժևորել է պետք միշտ.  այս մասին նշում էին ներկաները: 
 
«Անձամբ ես ինձ իրավունք  չեմ վերապահում գնահատել Անդրանիկ Օզանյանի դերը, քանի որ յուրաքանչյուր ֆիդայական շարժման ակունքում Անդրանիկ Օզանյանն է՝  ամենանվիրյալը, ով իրեն մինչև  վերջ նվիրեց հայ ազգի ազատագրական շարժմանը: Անդրանիկ զորավարից թշնամին վախեցել է: Գուցե չունենայինք նաև այն, ինչ ունենք հիմա, եթե չլիներ զորավարը»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրուկցում նշեց Գյումրու «Հովհաննես Շիրազի հուշատուն թանգարան»-ի տնօրեն Արա Պապանյանը: Մեր այն հարցին, թե ինչու միջոցառմանը ներկա չեն երիտասարդներ ու դպրոցականներ՝ Արա Պապանյանը նշեց, որ դա  ինչպես իր, այնպես էլ իր սերնդակիցների սխալն է, որը պետք է շտկել: «Ցավալի է, ես ու իմ սերնդակիցները պետք է այնպես  անեինք, որ այսօր այստեղ շատ երեխաներ լինեին: Թեև չեմ հերքում՝ լավ սերունդ ունենք: ճիշտ է՝ Անդրանիկ Օզանյան չունեք, բայց օզանյաններ ունենք՝ նրանք ովքեր փորձում են նմանվել քաջ հայորոդուն»,-հավելեց Արա Պապանյանը:
