Երբևէ մտածե՞լ եք, թե ինչ է մտնում Ձեր «բրենդային» ծխախոտի բաղադրության մեջ: Թվում է՝ եթե այն բենդային է, հայտնի,  հետևաբար պետք է նաև բարձր որակի ծխախոտ պարունակի իր բաղադրության մեջ:

Ծխախոտի երկարությունը կախված է դրա մեջ պարունակվող խոտի մանրաթելային հյուսվածքների  ներբջջային տարածքների ընդլայնմամբ: Անգամ թանկարժեք ծխախոտների մեջ ավելացվում են նյութեր, որոնք մեծացնում են դրա ծավալը և ռեզինի նման ձգում են այն: Սա օգնում է հումք խնայել: Եթե մի ժամանակ ամենախոշոր ծխախոտները կշռում էին 0,8 – 1 գ, ապա այսօր դրանց զանգվածն իջել է մինչև 0,5 գ: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ մերօրյա շուկայի արտադրանքի 90%-ը պատրաստվում է վերականգնված ծխախոտային հումքից:

Վերականգնված ծխախոտը ցելյուլոզային «կտոր» է (կոշտ թուղթ), որն առաջանում է ծխախոտային արտադրության մնացորդների վերամշակումից:

Ծխախոտը, որը 10-15%-ով պարունակվում է այսօրվա սիգարետների մեջ, գլխովին տարբերվում է նրանից, որը ծխում էին անցած դարում: Հիմա սիգարետների մեջ պարունակվում է անբույր ծխախոտ, որի բերքը անհամեմատոլիորեն ավելի շատ է: Այսպիսի ծխախոտի բացասական կողմն այն է, որ այն գարշելի, կծու ծուխ է արձակում և այնքան էլ հաճելի համ չունի: Սակայն այս խնդիրը լուծել են. դրանց համ և հոտ տալու համար օգտագործում են «սոուս-բուրավետիչներ»:
