Ճապոնիան ինքնասպանությունների պատճառով տարեկան ավելի քան 4 մլրդ դոլարի տնտեսական վնաս Է կրում

 Ճապոնիայում ինքնասպանությունների պատճառով տնտեսական վնասը տարեկան կազմում Է ավելի քան 459 մլրդ իեն (շուրջ 4,1 մլրդ դոլար): Այս եզրակացությանն են եկել երկրի առողջապահության, աշխատանքի եւ բարեկեցության նախարարության փորձագետները, տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրեսը՝ հղում անելով NHK հեռուստաընկերությանը:
Տարեկան տնտեսական վնասի գումարը հաշվարկվել Է՝ նկատի առնելով այն, թե ինչպիսին կլիներ տնտեսական ներդրումը, եթե 23 հազար մարդ, որոնք 15-ից մինչեւ 69 տարեկան հասակում 2015 թվականին կամավոր հրաժեշտ են տվել կյանքին, աշխատեին մինչեւ 70 տարեկանը:
2005 թվականին Ճապոնիայում ստեղծվել Է ինքնասպանությունների կանխման շտաբ: Մինչեւ 2005 թվականը եղած ցուցանիշների համեմատությամբ տնտեսական վնասի գումարը նվազել Է 99 մլրդ իենով (շուրջ 900 մլն դոլար):   
Ինքնասպանությունների ցուցանիշները 2015 թվականին ամենացածր են դարձել 18 տարվա ընթացքում: Ինքնասպանների մեծամասնությունը կազմում են տղամարդիկ: Ինքնասպանության դրդող հիմնական պատճառների թվում նշվում են առողջության հետ կապված խնդիրները, տնտեսական եւ կենցաղային բարդությունները եւ ընտանեկան դժվարությունները: 
1998 թվականից ինքնասպանությունների թիվը Ճապոնիայում տարեկան գերազանցում Էր 30 հազարը: Ռեկորդային դարձավ 2003 թվականը, երբ կյանքի հետ հաշիվները մաքրեց 34 հազար մարդ: Այնուհետեւ 2012 թվականին այդ ցուցանիշը կրկին ցած ընկավ 30 հազարի նշագծից եւ այդ ժամանակվանից շարունակում Է նվազել: 2015 թվականին այն 1997 թվականից ի վեր առաջին անգամ  հայտնվեց 25 հազարից ցածր մակարդակի վրա, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
