 ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում Սիրիայի վերաբերյալ բանաձեւի շուրջ քվեարկության ընթացքում ձեռնպահ մնալու Զինաստանի որոշումը Թրամփի «հսկայական» դիվանագիտական հաղթանակն Է: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտարարել Է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի քարտուղար Շոն Սփայսերը Fox հեռո ւստաալիքի եթերում: Ավելի վաղ ՉԺՀ-ն որպես կանոն դեմ Էր քվեարկում այն բանաձեւերին, որոնց չԷր աջակցում Մոսկվան: 

Ինչպես հավելել Է Սպիտակ տան ներկայացուցիչը, ներկայում Սիրիային աջակցում են ոչ մեծ խումբ երկրներ, որոնք, բացառությամբ Ռուսաստանի, չկայացած պետություններ են: 
Ապրիլի 12-ին Ռուսաստանն արգելափակել Է այն բանաձեւի ընդունումը, որը դատապարտում Է Սիրիայի Իդլիբի նահանգի Խան Շեյխուն քաղաքում քիմիական զենքի ենթադրյալ կիրառումը եւ Դամասկոսից պահանջում Է տեղեկատվություն տրամադրել միջադեպի օրը բոլոր օդային գործողությունների մասին: Բա ցի ՌԴ-ից, նախագծի ընդունմանը դեմ Է արտահայտվել Բոլիվիան: Ղազախստանը, Չինաստանը եւ Եթովպիան քվեարկության ժամանակ ձեռնպահ են մնացել:    

Չինաստանի մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Լյու Ցզեին այն կարծիքն Է հայտնել, որ ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհուրդը պետք Է փոխընդունելի բանաձեւ ընդունի Սիրիայի Խան Շեյխուն քաղաքում ենթադրյալ քիմիական գրոհի հետաքննության վերաբերյալ:
Մինչդեռ Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Ֆրանսուա Օլանդը հանդես Է եկել ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում Սիրիայի շուրջ բանաձեւի առնչությամբ Ռուսաստանի գործողությունների քննադատությամբ: «Ռուսաստանն արդեն ութերորդ անգամ իրեն հակադրում Է ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի մեծամասնությանը: Ռուսաստանը ծանր պատասխանատվություն Է ստանձնում՝ հետեւողականորեն խոչընդոտելով սիրիական դոսյեի շրջանակներում բազմակողմ միջոցառումներին՝ դրանով իսկ պաշտպանելով դաշնակից Բաշար Ասադին»,- ասել Է Ֆրանսիայի նախագահը: 

Գերմանիայի եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի արտգործնախարարներ Զիգմար Գաբրիելը եւ Բորիս Ջոնսոնը ափսոսանք են հայտնել Ռուսաստանի կողմից բանաձեւի վրա վետո դնելու առիթով: Գաբրիելի խոսքով՝ «Ռուսաստանի վետոն մեծ ափսոսանք Է հարուցում»: &laqu o;Անհրաժեշտ են անցկացնել հետաքննության եւ պարզորոշ ազդանշան տալ քիմիական զենքի օգտագործման դեմ»,- մեջբերում Է անում նախարարի խոսքից Գերմանիայի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունը:    

Բորիս Ջոնսոնը տարակուսանք Է հայտնել ՌԴ-ի որոշման կապակցությամբ: «Ճնշված եմ, որ Ռուսաստանը կրկին խանգարեց միջազգային հանրակցությանը, որը դատապարտում Է քիմիական զենքի օգտագործումը»,- գրել Է ՋոնսոնըTwitter սոցիալական ցանցում:
