Սիրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը, խստորեն դատապարտելով Սիրիայի տարածքում Թուրքիայի վարած հարձակվողական քաղաքականությունը, դիմել է Միացյալ ազգերի կազմակերպությանը:

Այս մասին հայտնում է սիրիական պետական ՍԱՆԱ լրատվական գործակալությունը:

Դիմելով ՄԱԿ-ին և միջազգային հանրությանը` Սիրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը կոչ է արել դատապարտել Սիրիայի տարածքում Թուրքիայի վարած քաղաքականությունը և ստիպել Անկարային վերջ տալ Սիրիայի դեմ կրկնվող հարձակումների և սահմանային խախտումների քաղաքականությանը: «Սիրիան խստորեն դատապարտում է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի ագրեսիվ ռեժիմի կողմից Սիրիայի տարածքում իրականացվող գործողությունները և կոչ է անում ՄԱԿ-ին և միջազգային հանրությանը դատապարտել այս ագրեսիան և ահաբեկչությանը սատարող թուրքական վարչակարգի վարած քաղաքականությունը»,- ասված է Սիրիայի ԱԳՆ հայտարարության մեջ:

Հայտարարության մեջ նշված է նաև, որ Թուրքիայի գործողությունները հակասում են, ինչպես միջազգային իրավունքի նորմերին, այնպես էլ ՄԱԿ-ի կանոնադրությանը և բարիդրացիության սկզբունքին: Թուրքիայի ԶՈՒ գերագույն շտաբը հայտնել էր ապրիլի 26-ին Սիրիայի հյուսիս-արևելքում գործող քրդական պաշտպանական ուժերի դիրքերին օդային հարվածներ հասցնելու մասին, ինչի արդյունքում զոհվել էր 70 քուրդ զինյալ:

Սիրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը 2017թ-ի փետրվարին ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարին և անվտանգության խորհրդին ուղարկել էր երկու միանման նամակ, որոնք իրազեկում էին Թուրքիայի կողմից Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետության ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության դեմ իրականացվող շարունակական վտանգավոր գործողությունների մասին: Ինչպես հայտնել էր ՍԱՆԱ լրատվական գործակալությունը, Սիրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարության՝ ՄԱԿ-ին ուղարկած նամակում նշված էր. «Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետությունը պահանջում է, որ ՄԱԿ-ի անվտանգության խորհուր դը կատարի միջազգային խաղաղության և անվտանգության պահպանման շուրջ իր պարտավորությունները և զսպի Անկարային»:
