Ուզում եք հավատացեք, ուզում եք ոչ, բայց Նեպալի Հոկսե գյուղի բնակիչներն այնքան աղքատ են, որ ծայրը ծայրին հասցնելու համար ստիպված վաճառում են իրենց սեփական օրգանները:

Սա այնքան տարածված է այնտեղ, որ այդ վայրը ստացել է «Երիկամների հովիտ» անունը: 

Օրգանի վաճառքով զբաղվող գործակալները պարբերաբար այցելում են գյուղ և նրա շրջակայքը` կարիքավոր մարդկանց համոզելու հրաժարվել իրենց առողջ երիկամներից:

Այս գործակալները հռչակված են անմեղ գյուղացիներին խաբելու հմտությամբ`նրանց վիրահատության տանելով Հարավային Հնդկաստան: Նրանք ամեն տեսակ հեքիաթներ են հորինում` աղքատ գյուղացիներին ասելով, որ մարդկանց ապրելու համար անհրաժեշտ է միայն մեկ երիկամ, կամ որ օրգանը հանելուց հետո նորից աճում է:

 

Այդ հատուկ հնարքը օգտագործելով՝ նրանք հիմարացրել են նաև չորս երեխաների մայր Գիթային, ով իր երիկամը վաճառել է ընդամենը 2000 դոլարով:

- Տասը տարի շարունակ մարդիկ գալիս էին մեր գյուղ` փորձելով մեզ համոզել վաճառել մեր երիկամները, բայց ես միշտ ասում էի՝ ոչ,- ասում է Գիթան: Բայց նրա ընտանիքի մեծացմանը զուգընթաց՝ երեխաներին տնով ապահովելու նրա ցանկությունը ևս մեծացավ: - Ես միշտ ցանկանում էի ունենալ իմ սեփական տունը և հողակտորը և ավելի շատ երեխաներ, ես իրոք դրա կարիքը ունեի:

 

Տեղի իրավապահ մարմիններն առանձնապես հետաքրքրված չեն այս միջադեպերով, քանի որ հա՛մ կաշառված են, հա՛մ էլ պնդում են, որ ամեն ինչ օրենքի շրջանակներում է տեղի ունենում, և չափահաս մարդիկ ի զորու են սթափ որոշումներ կայացնել:
