Հարավային Կորեայի նախկին նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեն ամբողջովին մերժում Է մեղադրանքի բոլոր կետերը առաջին նախնական դատական լսումների ընթացքում: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրեսը, հայտնել Է Reuters գործակալությունը:
Պակ Կըն Հեն, որը հեռացվել Է պաշտոնից, իսկ այնուհետեւ ձերբակալվել իր ընկերուհու՝ Չխվե Սուն Սիլի կոռուպցիոն խարդախություններին մասնակից լինելու կասկածանքով, չի ներկայացել դատարան, քանի որ դա առայժմ պարտադիր պահանջ չԷ: Նրա փոխարեն դատարանի հարցերին պատասխանել Է փաստաբանը:  
Վերջինս հայտարարել Է, որ նախկին նախագահի գործը կազմում Է 120 հազար Էջ, եւ իր պաշտպանյալը ամեն ինչ մանրամասնորեն ուսումնասիրելու ժամանակ չի ունեցել: Միեւնույն ժամանակ նա ընդգծել Է, որ Պակ Կըն Հեն ժխտում Է իր մեղքն առաջադրված բոլոր 18 մեղադրանքներով, որոնք վերաբերում են կոռուպցիային, իշխանության չարաշահմանը, պետական գաղտնիքի հրապարակմանը եւ այլն: 
Ինչպես սպասվում Է, նախքան դատական գործընթացի սկսվելը տեղի կունենան եւս երկու-երեք նախնական դատական լսումներ:
Պակ Կըն Հեի շուրջ սկանդալ Է բորբոքվել 2016 թվականի հոկտեմբերին, երբ մամուլում տեղեկություններ հայտնվեցին պետության ղեկավարի վրա նրա ընկերուհի Չխվե Սուն Սիլի  ազդեցության մասին: Դրա հետաքննությունը ցույց տվեց, որ մի քանի տարվա ընթացքում Չխվե Սուն Սիլը տեղյակ Է եղել պետական կառավարման մանրամասներին եւ միջամտել Է քաղաքական որոշումների ընդունման ընթացքին: Նախագահի ընկերուհին ճնշում Է գործադրել մի շարք ընկերությունների վրա, ներառյալ Samsung-ը, նրանց կողմից իր հսկողության տակ գտնվող հիմնադրամներ տասնյակ միլիոնավոր դոլարների փոխանցման ն պատակով: Հարավկորեական ընդդիմությունը պնդում Է, որ Պակ Կըն Հեն ներքաշված Է եղել Չխվե Սուն Սիլի կոռուպցիոն սխեմաներում կամ առնվազն տեղյակ Է եղել տեղի ունեցողի մասին:
Անցյալ տարվա դեկտեմբերին Հարավային Կորեայի խորհրդարանը ժամանակավորապես իշխանությունից զրկեց երկրի նախագահին, որին մեղադրեցին կոռուպցիայի եւ իշխանության չարաշահման մեջ, իսկ մարտի 10-ին Սահմանադրական դատարանը վերջնականապես հաստատեց իմպիչմենտը: Արդյունքում Պակ Կըն Հեն զրկվեց բարձրագույն պաշտոնից եւ կորցրեց անձեռնմխելիությունը քրեական հետապնդման նկատմամբ, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
