ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքարտուղար Մադլեն Օլբրայթը, որը որպես ամերիկյան դիվանագիտության ղեկավար 2000 թվականին Կիմ Չեն Իրի հետ հանդիպում Է ունեցել Փենյանում, ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփին նախազգուշացրել Է ԿԺԴՀ-ի ներկայիս ղեկավար Կիմ Չեն Ընի հետ հանդիպումից: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Օլբրայթը համապատասխան հայտարարությունը մայիսի 2-ին արել Է CNN հեռուստաալիքի եթերում:
 
«Նախագահը երկրներ չի այցելում առանց նախնական պատրաստության, իսկ պատվի նկատառումներն այս դեպքում ճիշտ չեն, երբ ղեկավարը ժողովրդին պահում Է աղքատության եւ սովի ճիրաններում,-հայտարարել Է Օլբրայթը:-Խնդիրն այն Է, որ Թրամփը մտածում Է՝ իբր կարող Է նրա հետ անձնական հարաբերություններ հաստատել: Դա, կարող Է պատահել, հնարավոր Է բիզնեսի մեջ, բայց դա անհեթեթություն Է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի համար»:
 
Մայիսի 1-ին Bloomberg գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում Թրամփը հայտարարել Էր, որ համապատասխան պայմաններում կհանդիպեր ԿԺԴՀ-ի ղեկավարի հետ եւ դա իր համար պատիվ կհամարեր:
 
Ավելի ուշ Սպիտակ տան պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Շոն Սփայսերը հայտարարել Է, որ ներկայում պայմաններ չկան ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի եւ ԿԺԴՀ-ի ղեկավար Կիմ Չեն Ընի հանդիպման համար: «Եթե Փենյանը շարունակի իր գործելակերպը, այդ պայմանները չեն Էլ հայտնվի»,- ճշտել Է նա: 
 
«Մենք պետք Է տեսնենք, որ նրանց սադրիչ գործելակերպն արագորեն  վերացել Է»,- հավելել Է նա: «Չեմ կարծում, թե դա տեղի կունենա մոտ ժամանակներս»,- եզրափակել Է Սփայսերը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
