Վրաստանի Հանրապետության մայրաքաղաք Թբիլիսիում սույն թվականի մայիսի 2-ից 5-ը տեղի է ունեցել Վրաստանի, Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի բնապահպանական ուղղվածությամբ լրագրողների համար նախատեսված՝  «Հարավային Կովկասում հողերի չեզոք դեգրադացիայի ապահովում» թեմայով տարածաշրջանային ուսումնական դասընթացը:   

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ բնապահպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, միջոցառմանը ներկա են եղել նաև երկրների բնապահպանության նախարարության պատասխանատուները: ՄԱԿ-ի անապատացման դեմ պայքարի կոնվենցիայի ազգային համակարգող Աշոտ Վարդևանյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի հողերի դեգրադացիայի խնդիրները և դրանց լուծման ուղղությամբ կատարվող աշխատանքները: Համաժողովի մասնակից լրագրողներն աշխատանքային խմբերում մշակել են անապատացման դեմ պայքարի խնդիրների մասին իրազեկման մեխանիզմներ, որոնց հիման վրա կմշակվեն տարածաշրջանային իրազեկման ծրագրեր:

Համաժողովը կազմակերպել էր Կովկասի ռեգիոնալ էկոլոգիական  կենտրոնը (REC CAUCASUS)  ՄԱԿ-ի  Անապատացման դեմ պայքարի կոնվենցիայի և Գերմանիայի միջազգային համագործակցության ընկերության (GIZ) «Կենսաբազմազանության ինտեգրված կառավարում Հարավային Կովկասում» (ԿԻԿ) ծրագրի աջակցությամբ:

Ողջույնի խոսքով հանդես են եկել Վրաստանի շրջակա միջավայրի և բնական ռեսուրսների պահպանության նախարարի տեղակալ Եկատերինա Գրիգալավան, Վրաստանում Գերմանիայի Դաշնային հանրապետության դեսպան Դանիել Հասը և «Կենսաբազմազանության ինտեգրված կառավարում Հարավային Կովկասում» ծրագրի ղեկավար Հանս-Յոախիմ Լիպը: Ելույթով հանդես են եկել Կովկասի տարածաշրջանային բնապահպանական կենտրոնի տնօրեններ Սոֆիկո Ախոբաձեն և Նունե Հարությունյանը: Զեկույցներով հանդես են եկել նաև Հայաստանի, Վրաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ազգային համակարգողները:

Հիմնարար ելույթով հանդես է եկել Անապատացման դեմ  կոնվենցիայի քարտուղարության կենտրոնական և արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրների պատասխանատու Ջամալ Աննակլիչեվան:
