Իսրայելի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը կանչել է Թուրքիայի դեսպան Քեմալ Օքեմին՝ Իսրայելի հասցեին Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի վերջրերս արած հայտարարությունները պարզաբանելու համար։ Այս մասին հաղորդում է Jerusalem Post պարբերականը։

Նախօրեին Էրդողանը մուսուլմաններին կոչ է արել «հնարավորինս հաճախ այցելել Էլ Ակսա» մզկիթ, որը գտնվում է Երուսաղեմի տաճարային լեռան վրա, քանի որ «ամեն օրը, քանի դեռ Երուսաղեմը բռնազավթված է, վիրավորական է» իրենց համար։ Նա նաեւ քննադատել է Իսրայելի օրինագիծը, որն արգելում է ուշ գիշերը եւ վաղ առավոտյան մուսուլմաններին աղոթքի ավանդական կոչը։

«Նրանք, ովքեր պարբերաբար խախտում են մարդու իրավունքները սեփական երկրում, չպետք է դասեր տան տարածաշրջանում միակ ժողովրդավարությանը», — պարբերականը մեջբերում է Իսրայելի ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցիչ Էմանուել Նաչսոնին։
