 Հրազենային վնասվածքներով կնոջ մարմին է հայտնաբերվել Ռիգայի կենտրոնում: Սպանություն իրականացնելու կասկածանքով ձերբակալվել է սպանվածի ծանոթը, ով ևս իգական սեռի ներկայացուցիչ է: Այդ մասին հայտնում է Լատվիայի ոստիկանության պաշտոնական կայքը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է Արմենպրեսը, վկայակոչելով «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն, 1981 թվականին ծնված կնոջ մարմինը  հայտնաբերվել է մայիսի 12-ին Վալդեմար փողոցում:

Կասկածյալը բերման է ենթարկվել նույն երեկո: Նրա մոտ գտնվել է նրա անվամբ գրանցված զենք, որով հնարավոր է իրականացվել է սպանությունը: Կինը զենք պահելու թույլատվություն ունեցել է, հավանաբար այդ պատճառով նախկինում դուրս է մնացել ոստիկանության տեսադաշտից: Կասկածյալը խոստովանել է իր մեղքը, իսկ սպանության դրդապատճառները պարզաբանվում են:

Օրենքի համաձայն` սպանության համար սպասվում է ցմահ կամ 5-20 տարվա ազատազրկում:
