Տարոն Մարգարյանի կերպարը հասկանալի է տարեց մարդկանց համար, նրանք համակրում են նրան։ Այս մասին մայիսի 14-ին Երեւանի ավագանու ընտրությունների ավարտից հետո ՀՀԿ կենտրոնական շտաբում կազմակերպված ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ ասել է ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը։

«Տարեց մարդիկ ու հաշմանդամները նույնպիսի քաղաքացիներ են, ինչպես մենք բոլորս։ Ու նրանց ձայներն էլ նույնն են, ինչ բոլորինս»,- հայտնել է Աշոտյանը՝ պատասխանելով լրագրողների հարցերին այն մասին, թե ինչու են ընտրություններին, չնայած ցածր մասնակցությանը, այդքան շատ տարեց մարդիկ ու հաշմանդամներ ներկայացել, որպեսզի քվեարկեն Տարոն Մարգարյանի օգտին։

Նշենք, որ շատ դիտորդներ ուշադրություն են դարձրել այն հանգամանքին, որ ընտրատեղամասեր էին եկել  բազմաթիվ տարեց մարդիկ ու հաշմանդամություն ունեցող մարդիկ՝ իրենց օգնականների ուղեկցությամբ։ Այդ փաստը շատ հարցեր է առաջացրել՝ այդ ընտրողների մոտիվացիայի կապակցությամբ։

Հիշեցնենք, որ մայիսի 14-ին անցկացվել են Երեւանի ավագանու ընտրությունները։ Քաղաքային իշխանություններում տեղերի համար պայքարում են ընդամենը երեք քաղաքական ուժեր՝ ՀՀԿ-ն, «Ելք» ընդդիմադիր դաշինքը ու վերջերս ստեղծված «Երկիր ծիրանի» կուսակցությունը ։ Ավագանին, որը ընտրվում է 5 տարի ժամկետով, ձայների մեծամասնությամբ կնշանակւ Երեւանի քաղաքապետին։ Քաղաքապետի թեկնածուներն են համամասնական ցուցակների առաջին համարները՝ գործող քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը (ՀՀԿ), նոր գումարման ԱԺ պատգամավոր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը («Ելք» դաշինք) ու «Ժառանգություն» կուսակցության նախկին բազմամյա անդամ Զարուհի Փոստանջյանը («Երկիր ծիրանի»)։
